What happened to Baldwin?

Am I wrong to ask for a flyer on him? he's a first rd pick 1 yr removed... had actual good reports of him leading to the draft.

Around the NBA, 2017-18 Season thread

Post#43 » by Paradise » Mon Oct 16, 2017 6:11 pm

Chris Wallace is not a good GM. In 7 years, the Grizzlies haven’t developed anyone into a reliable outside shooter to compliment the core of Conley, Allen, Randolph and Gasol. Gasol / Conley is all they have left and they still haven’t properly put any talent around them. They might have something with Dillon Brooks but somehow Chandler Parsons has surpassed Gerald Wallace for worst contract since 2010. Dude hasn’t even averaged double figures in PER since joining Memphis. 33% FG, 28% 3pt and he’s still owed $25m over 3 Years.

I feel bad for Grizzlies fans.

Bontemps said today they haven't signed a first round pick to a second contract since Conley in 07.

Further more, they drafted Demarre Carroll in 09 and traded him the next year. The drafted Kyle Lowry on 06, traded him 2 years later.

Inept as ****.

I'm looking and I really can't find any pro Baldwin articles about him getting waived. Usually you see at least one guy who saw potential in player, but with Baldwin people seem fine with his departure. Not even that they expected it, they're just not surprised or even bothered by it.

Usually means the player was pretty cheeks.

Dang, they were talking about Baldwin replacing Conley if he leaves.

So Dolan is the guy who controls everything from behind, runs the country like his basketball team.

wouldn't want a guy like that in our team's locker room. getting heated during practice is one thing but cheap shotting your own teammate?

Portis knocking Mirotic out, Gordon Hayward getting clotheslined and taken out on a stretcher, Batum with the torn ligament -- the Eastern Conference is getting wrecked.

...Cavs will be in the finals again...
Injuries at the beginning of the season are so disturbing, for players, fans, and teams.
Most NBA stats aren't credible. At most times the people who interprets those data are biased, or the data themselves are flawed. Basketball is just too complicated with so many uncontrollable variables.

I just saw the Hayward injury after coming off work. Watching it made me nauseous. I feel bad for him, his family and the fans. That was gruesome.

Lost my excitement for tonight’s game watching that. It was such a simple defensive play. Nothing dirty but a horrible landing.

I’d have to think it’s something real distasteful that likely was said from Mirotic.
