Dave Playing Mind Games

Post#941 » by Ranma » Wed Oct 18, 2017 3:08 am

I love what Roberts did in using Granderson in the on-deck circle as a decoy only to bring Darvish back in to hit. Darvish fakes bunt and takes a 4-pitch walk to score another run. Kudos, Dave.

yeah that was a pretty bad at bat. but Taylor has been an aggressive hitter all year long who happened to connect well this season. I am personally worried about his potential regression when he doesn't guess right or make contact next season. it will be gravy if he continues his excellence but I would definitely plan enough depth at both CF and 2B.

Prolly not an original thought, but there's a little Ted Williams in Bellinger, No? I mean they look alike.

but Cody isn't half Mexican tho. Teddy's mom was a latina and Teddy learned how to play baseball from his Mexican uncles in San Diego.
as a minority American, I love how Teddy was a half Mexican and was beloved by at times, very racist Boston fan base. but he surely did not reveal the facts until he was dead.

I'm pretty sure this was brought up in the Regular Season thread, but yeah, the physical resemblance is uncanny.

^ that reminds me, one of the patients today asked me if I have more racist experience since the current president's occupancy in oval office, told her that I have lost about a couple of hundred conservative patients in my practice in last 18 months or so and my patient base went from fairly even conservative/liberal crowd to now much more liberal base, not because of any gain on them but loss on the other side. I even had people directly ask me if I was a Christian, and being an atheist even tho I grew up a protestant(product of growing up in southern cal and being a science major in college), told them I did grow up in a church, wasn't good enough.

Darvish's Dominance

The TBS color man just said the same thing about him looking stronger as he progresses only for Roberts to pull him from the game.

I'm not going to second-guess Dave here but Darvish gave a heck of a performance after the 1st inning. He leaves the mound saluting the homeplate umpire and looking up to the sky to praise his maker. :usa:

Geez, man. It never fails that people find ways to disappoint. I'm sorry to hear that you have to deal with such intolerance.
