He retired a year later at 24.

Haywood's injury is worse than PG's, the break being at the ankle joint makes his recovery so much more difficult.

Wow, seriously, the angle is quite similar.

Terrible, really unfortunate.

Hopefully the doctors in Boston are better.

Since Marks has been saying culture, culture, culture, I doubt that's what he's gonna do.

i wouldnt go that far. kyrie is a big shot maker and he can carry your offense for stretches both in games and for whole games when he is hot.

I'm not knocking Irving, but the Cavs to me look better with the added depth from Crowder and eventually Thomas. Then you add Wade and Rose, who had some real snap to his first step last night. Very deep team.

Not really. Paul has been very uninvolved. Pat Beverly type of role. If this keeps up for a few weeks, it's not gonna end well.

It's only 1 game vs the best team ever so I wouldn't put too much stock into it.

I'm baffled as to why Paul wanted to go there.

Very upset to watch Hayward lose his chance as a Celtic like that. That was tough to watch last night. My wife had to race downstairs to see what happened b/c I screamed oh my god.

As wrong as it sounds, that's my mindset as well. Brutal for Hayward and I really hope he can come back like how PG13 did. But the devastation the Fans must feel right now, I have no sympathy for them. They deserve for their **** to hit the fan and they deserve to feel like ****.

Also I don't think Hayward comes back from this. And if he does he'll never be the same.

Hayward seems like a genuinely good guy, so hopefully he ends up all right - but like the posters above I have no sympathy for the Celtics fanbase.

Tommy Heinsuck has openly cheered for other players to get injured, and Celtics fans were hoping for the worst with Brook Lopez these last few years.

I think it'll work eventually but man, Harden needs to relax a bit. Harden was really treating CP3 like Derek Fisher. It was one of the most alpha things I've ever seen. He didn't even think about letting CP initiate things

I think Hayward's ability to bounce back will depends on if a lot of ligaments and tendons were torn.

If it's a clean break and ankle dislocation he should eventually be fine, but we're talking a legit 2 years, if not longer till he's the same and then he has few seasons of actual prime left.

Guessing he misses this season and possibly half of next. Won't be the same time 2019-20, if ever.

Plus he got his money and he's really into gaming. Its a LONG road back and with his hobbies, it'll be hard for him to stay focused and grind through rehab.

Gasol / Conley is all they have left and they still haven’t properly put any talent around them. They might have something with Dillon Brooks but somehow Chandler Parsons has surpassed Gerald Wallace for worst contract since 2010. Dude hasn’t even averaged double figures in PER since joining Memphis. 33% FG, 28% 3pt and he’s still owed $25m over 3 Years.

I feel bad for Grizzlies fans.

Thabeet might be the worst number 2 pick in NBA draft history

And 2 of the best players in NBA history got drafted after him harden at 3 and curry at 7

He drafted Kevin Love and traded him for OJ Mayo.

How the hell does he still have a job

Did he make the gasol trade if so that might be the only reason he still has a job

Probably. Everyone thought that he'd been straight up fleeced in that trade at the time though

So I guess he owes his job to the development of Marc Gasol.

They're saying it's a clean break, mainly bones and not much tendons. I think he'll be OK next year.

In addition to being a terrible basketball player, has Mirotic being a fake tough guy & cancerous teammate been confirmed? I'd whoop his ass too if I saw him huffing & puffing around the court like he's worth a ****

Mirotic looks like that dude smoking a Camel Turkish Blend with a glass of whiskey after practice still in his sweaty ass shooting shirt talking **** about Hoiberg's wife.

What the hell.

I took Portland to win the Northwest at 15 to 1 odds. I don't know if they do, but I was legitimately surprised they were such big underdogs.

Potential players whom Brooklyn could eventually trade for Schroder include DeMarre Carroll and Timofey Mozgov or Trevor Booker paired with Caris LeVert, Spencer Dinwiddie, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Quincy Acy, Joe Harris, Sean Kilpatrick or Tyler Zeller. If the Hawks are interested in any of the above, the Nets should rush to make a deal.
