Lonzo, Kuzma, Caruso, Nance, Bogut are all ready to compete now - all on minimum or rookie contracts. That's the perfect base of talent and depth to add prime superstars without gutting a roster. Add Paul George and Lebron? Then you'll get another two or three veterans to piggyback on the minimum. By clearing Deng with Brandon Ingram, we'd even have the space to add another max or near max, such as Nerlens Noel or Demarcus Cousins.
And if we can get a few picks out of Ingram, Randle, Clarkson, Lopez, we're positioned to improve year after year.
But 2018 is the superteam build.
