Will you trade the Lakers or Kings pick for Ingram? His value should be low by now

I'm a huge fan of Ingram but I think the goal moving forward has to be to bring in an elite guy and keep the pick as ammo for a trade.

I think Atlanta would move Bembry before Prince. DeAndre has had trouble breaking into their rotation.

Bembrey for Justin Anderson.

Okafor's effort is noticeably better.

If Adams back is more serious, a scoring center with more effort becomes more valuable. OKC, Cavs, and others could use Okafor.

Okafor for the nets pick and Frye.

Atlanta isn't moving either. Prince is the starter at SF. Bembry had a tricep injury and missed most of camp and the first 2 preseason games. He's played the last 2 games and he's slotted in at backup SG and the primary ball handler for the 2nd unit. Hawks fans love his defense and his ability to run the offense.

Should trade Saric in a deal for Prince honestly. Similar age, prospect pedigrees, production, and remaining years of contract control. Sixers definitely need another larger wing and Saric is a poor fit next to Simmons. Sixers have Bolden as a much better fit to replace Saric next year too.

Not sure if it makes as much sense for the Hawks on fit, depends on where they see Collins fitting in, but seems like they'd get more out of Saric's playmaking ability than we would.

Also, comments like this are ridiculous and I see them all the time on RealGM. You're a likely bottom 5 team without a superstar. You might disagree with specific offers but there's no player on your team that's untouchable for the right offer.

Well of course they are tradeable to the right deal, but the offer was for Justin Anderson.

One of the reasons the Hawks 'reached' for Prince at #12 was his size, athleticism and defense on the wing and his ability to be small ball 4 in some lineups. Collins is the PF, with some ability to play C. His defense needs work so pairing him with Prince's defense is ideal. Bembry will be our playmaker.

If Saric's shooting stroke stays consistent, and I have no reason to believe it wont develop into a reliable shot over the course of his career, then the player in the league who completes our cipher, the guy who can lock down point guards, can switch onto some bigger players, can hit the three, can also make plays off the dribble, but at the same time is not an "alpha" or true point guard: Victor Oladipo.

Victor Oladipo, Ben Simmons, Robert Covington, Dario Saric, Joel Embiid

No, but I would eat Deng for Ingram.

Malik Beasley has played double digit minutes just once this preseason. Denver may like him, but he's an unused asset on their roster. That screams pry-able to me.

He fits the bill of "plus athletes with shooting skill" that I think we should be on the hunt for.

Two years ago I would have jumped at that deal. Now? We are going after a top guy next year. Deng is a threat to that. Ingram is not worth giving up on the chance of Lebron or another max free agent like George he just isn't.

I hear that. And if I thought there was even a 1% chance either of those guys could come, I’d agree with you. I don’t see any way a max FA comes here next year. It would require absolutely everything going perfectly, and we’re already off the rails from that scenario.

EDIT: Not as off the rails as I thought, apparently. But still don’t think that meter has swung to a 1% probability.

I'd rather have Portis.

Man, Jerian Grant would be such a needed pick-up. He's good enough athletically, defensively and skill-wise. He'd fit into pretty much any line-up.

Simmons, Fultz, Cov, 3&D Forward, Embiid with TJ/Korkmaz/TLC/Saric/Holmes off the bench.

That should be the future. The question is who fills the F role? Who out there can defend/lockdown the 1-3 spots while being able to consistently hit 3pt shots? Embiid guards the 5, Simmons guards the 4, Covington and the Forward switch off guarding the other teams 2 best guys from 1-3, Fultz takes whoever is left.

I wouldn't take Mirotic straight up for Okafor or Bayless. He's trash... just a waste of money. I'd rather just cut Okafor.

Trade Saric for Taurean Prince, bring over Bolden. That potentially fills the other 3 and D forward spot, or you can use Prince off the bench if you can re-sign Redick to a cheap deal (he already stated he wants to sign another multi-year deal here to end his career).

Prince is a better fit and possibly better than Saric already. Bolden is a far better fit than Saric and might end up being a better player as well.

Also forgot to mention we should draft Mikal Bridges with our first next year. We badly need another wing and it seems like he’s going to have elite role player potential. Who knows how things end up, but it seems like we could have a decent chance of landing him with our pick (or at least should have the assets to move up to get him). If we don’t end up trading for a wing, this is the route we should go.
