Which is why he never should have been the 2nd overall pick

nah, he's a "transcendent" and "generational" passer. he makes everyone "better". i mean, he can't penetrate to collapse the defense or attack the basket, but he's really good at throwing passes at the top of the key. complete pg imo :D

Ball is looking like hot garbage. He better pick it up in the second half. If the Lakers play this bad all year then we did the Celtics a HUGE favor giving them a high pick for trading up. Ugh. It would be so good to root for Laker losses but it would only help the Celtics.

1. I won't trade Simmons for Ball+Ingram. Thanks God we got the #1 in 2016.

2. I start missing the LAL unprotected pick this year.

I feel like Lonzo hunts for defensive rebounds because he’s worried he can’t contribute enough otherwise.

I think they intentionally set him up for rebounds. They all just run back on offense for cherry picks. Not to mention when you have Lopez and Nance out there you aren't exactly expected to clean up on the glass.

I Honestly dont care about next year's draft. Even if you get lucky, you might be forced to get another big

At least they got Lopez, it would be really ugly w/o him.

We should all know that Ball's easiest way to triple doubles is rebounds.

Are they winning ballgames or helping that dude look good is the question....they want Ball to look good.

Lol, that was my next thought. I couldn’t remember who used to do it, but remembered reading posts about it here.

Lonzo isn't gonna be a big-time scorer in the NBA. Especially as a rookie. It's just not his game. It's why I didn't want him for the Sixers, I wanted the guy with the most scoring potential, since we have Simmons as our showrunner.

But I still think fit-wise he was probably the right fit for the Lakers. Tatum would be redundant there with Ingram. If they made a mistake with Ball, then it was passing on Fox or Smith, not Jackson or Tatum IMO.

Not gonna rip Ball today, I'm not in a spiteful mood(which is rare).

I'll just say he's not even the best passer in his own city #MilosMania 8-)

I think Ball is a good fit for a team that has a few guys that can hit jumpers, the Lakers really don’t.
