Clippers have Austin Rivers and Beverley to go along with Teodosic. If we get a DPE, I'd trade a couple seconds for one of those two. Maybe even shop Torontos pick since it drops know value following the Hayward injury. Maybe Phoenix dumps Bledsoe?

I meant if we were going the route of replacing lin with another ball handler.

I agree we need a C, I thought that was rather obvious. Not sure who you target. Ironically, Robin Lopez maybe?

You really think the Clippers would trade us Patrick Beverly for second rounders?

What are they gonna do with 3 PGs? You really think they're in a position of leverage should they decide to move one of them?

I'm not ready to write off Ball even though I think He's overhyped... But Lakers....What are you doing? Nance looks to be the best young player in their core! Ingram looks like derrick williams 2.0. Randle hasn't lived up to expectations, Kuzma is overhyped. And DLo just dropped 30.

If DLo turns into a star and all the kids the Lakers kept amount to nothing, the only thing people will be talking about is how the Mosgov trade could've been completed with Randle or Ingram but instead used DLo.

They pretty much have 2 PGs. Rivers is terrible. Depth is also important, so it makes sense to have the 3 in case one of them goes down.

Rivers is overrated by hus father but I wouldn't say He's terrible. And i get the importance of depth but most teams 3rd string PGs are scrubs on minimum deals. Rivers makes more than the 2 guys ahead of him in the rotation combined...

I think the Clippers trading a PG makes a lot more sense then you're giving it credit for.

Bogut had a good game last night. I always thought he would be good pick up- and mentor for Jarrett Allen.

I'd rather let Whitehead be the 3rd PG. Lin's open slot may need to go to a center unless Jarrett Allen can earn his way into the rotation sooner than later. If Kenny pulls that crap with Acy at the 5 again I might break something.

Wanted to catch Brook's first game and the Lakers looked awful. All those years of sucking to acquire mediocre talent must feel rough. Randle/Ingram are nothing special and Lonzo I think can become best case scenario Ricky Rubio type with better J(Very solid player but not Elite tier.)

Dlo has a higher ceiling than anyone on their roster IMHO.

Sucks for Brook to get stuck again on another stinker of a team... at least it's only a 1 year deal.

They're going to play Beverly or Rivers at the 2. Easy problem to solve.

And even if they did want to move one of them why would they do it for a 2nd rounder? Sounds pretty dumb to me.

Beverly is worth a lot more than that. One of the best defenders in the NBA.

I think Lonzo could be elite, but we will not see it with this years Lakers team. Put him on the Nets with Kenny's system, and the players we have here, and he would look like a very different player.

Same thing happened to DLo in LA -- they have a bunch of players who play slower, some are selfish or have tunnel vision. Its not a recipe for playing successful modern basketball. But it was convenient to blame DLo for the problems the team was having.

Edit - And Lonzo will be very good; but DeAaron Fox will be better. :-)

Ok, guys, so here is a DeAaron Fox update - in their season opener against Houston, which Kings lost only by 105 - 102, Fox shined: 14 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds in 24 minutes in his first regular season NBA game

(I would have taken Fox over any other PG in this year's draft.)

"But the 19-year-old nicknamed “Swipa” stole hearts, stole the night. De’Aaron Fox entered to a rousing ovation with just over four minutes remaining in the first quarter and he wasted little time. Speed is his thing, remember. Two Kings possessions later, and before the Rockets even noticed there was a Fox in the house, he sprinted into the lane and scored the first field goal of his career.

...

He is subtle and crafty, deceptive and uncanny, and more charismatic than any Kings point guard since a young Jason Williams. The crowd loved J-Will, and, oh, boy, they love this 19-year-old. For the rest of the evening, as Fox scored 14 points, by simply beating defenders to the basket, other times by probing, studying, then making a move before his man could react, the crowd erupted with a chorus of “ooh” and “aah.”

“His pace can’t be stopped right now. He’s so fast ... a couple of the Houston players were saying to me, ‘He’s just so fast.’ It’s hard to explain.”

Anyone here throw a little something on a game every now and then?

I like OKC tonight -4. They're on the road, but Utah is coming off a back to back and I think they're a 35 win team and OKC isn't getting the respect they deserve yet in Vegas.

Anyone down to do a little pick'em by the spread competition for the rest of the year starting next week?

Ball will be a star. His dad is a knucklehead. So people over scrutinize Lonzo's game because they can't shut his dad down. lol. No one cared when J Kidd didn't have a jump shot. But he developed one over time. I didn't see the game against the suns but I had a quick look at his numbers and they were pretty impressive for a second NBA game. Ever!
