That will probably make them stop bullying his son.

Lonzo has no place in this league. Game will soon be all about half court offense. Offensive rebounding and transition points is going to go down each year.

You just gotta be able to create and have some kind of gravity either by having an elite shot or elite quickness.

It's not a reason to pass on the guy if you thought he was the best player but let me just say that I'm happy not having to deal with the Lavar circus.

Lavar's BS just makes Lonzo a marked man. Every PG in the league is gonna want to put Lonzo through hell.

Nope. I always thought Ingram was going to be a bust. These first 2300 minutes of his career have done nothing but validate my original feeling on him. You can't be unathletic and too skinny to function. It's an awful combination.

Good skill level, elite length, but he's ceiling was always mythical and unearned. He was "just a guy" at Duke, for the most part. Catch and shoot player that did no creating.

Yea, the Lakers front office need to be reevaluated. I know it's early to call Ball a bust, but if he is, that makes Ball, Ingram, Randle in the past 4 years. I don't consider Russell a bust, but they strangely traded him away. Say what you want about the Process, but I'd rather go through that and hit on 2, possibly 3 picks (with MCW converting to a possible later pick) than sneakily tank and suck.

Another concern I had.

Can't say I'm upset we didn't get him.

Honestly, I've reversed course on this and now I do think his dad is a valid reason to pass on Lonzo. The effect is leaking onto the court. It's almost guaranteed to sabotage the lockerroom at some point.

One last thing about that game:

The Clippers are a strange team, but they have some dogs. Beverley is obviously a pain, same with Harrell and Thornwell. Brice Johnson was an elite rebounder at UNC. I don't expect them to win the West by any stretch, but they will grind out games this year and win games they shouldn't based on their bench.

That Simmons vs Ingram debate over a year ago is funny to look back on. And Boston must be happy too because they have Brown who looks like he will be pretty good. He could always defend but now he has some scoring skills.

Everyone remember Lonzo had a horrible first game in Summer league then balled out. He won’t be going up against Beverly every game. The next game he goes up against the Suns. There’s no defensive PG stud on that team. I expect Lonzo to have a good game and get his mojo back. All it takes is one game and Ball is back. He defense is bad though. It was laughable he tried everything in his arsenal to get by Austin Rivers to no avail lol. But he will be fine. He will look great against the Suns.

Well yea, playing against the team that's competing for worst record in the West won't be nearly as bad. But I'd rather he show up against the top players. You're right though, it's just the first game.

The biggest violation that Lavar ever did, and the one that made me realize that he is just a bad dude, is when he criticized Lonzo's teammates at UCLA.

It is only a matter of time before he plays that card again in the pros. Maybe not a big enough reason to pass on him, but it certainly is a negative.

I would give them their pick back top 8 protected for Ingram. And if it's top 8 then they get our pick. He has a lot of talent and I'm not sure how good the lakers are at developing guys. They've been bad for like 4 years and haven't even developed role players like Cov or TJ.

I would also include Stauskas anderson or Okafor just to get the roster spot.

People are destroying Lonzo today lol. It was just like this after game one of Summer league too. There’s like no middle ground with Ball. Either you’re team Big Baller or you want to see him fail miserably lol.
