Would be a huge win, At least we can beat up on the Knicks tomorrow if we lose though.

I feel like this is a big game for it being only the second of the season. Washington is a good team and it will show where we stand.

Hopefully our starters can keep up with theirs and then the bench mob crush theirs.

A road win against them would be huge.

Kinda hope RJ gets the call against Wall for at least part of the game. He usually gets up for that matchup. It's probably a better matchup for him than chasing Beal around screens all night anyway. (Not a good matchup obviously, but you are kinda on an island chasing guys weakside vs Wall pounding the ball up top with 5 guys watching him)

This will be a good test. A lot of pundits thinking the Wizards will challenge the Cavs as much as anyone. I hope we are at least competitive.

Wiz fan here. Bradley is great but I would love to see him on Wall because Beal would run Jackson ragged. Do you guys see any hope left for Drummond in Detroit?

Obviously there is still "hope for dre in detroit". Fans may be divided, but he's our starting center and still only 24. If the team tanks, then everyone is potentially on the trading block, but I think management assumes he's going to return to all-star form this year.

Well I haven't kept up with you guys much lately but it seems like for the last year and a half everyone including Pistons fans acts like he's the 2nd worst player in the league only behind Reggie Jackson....lol

Obviously I'm exaggerating but they do act like he's fell off a cliff and he doesn't have the injury excuse like Jackson. Strangely also, I never hear much on the main boards about SVG but it seems to me he's not doing the greatest job as a coach or GM but everyone is giving him a pass or just not thinking about it much

i think we might see bradley guard wall, stanley johnson guard beal and jackson guard porter.

edit: or they may just have reggie guard beal and give him lots of help on those screens.

Not the greatest job is fair. We're not a good team yet - just hoping to make the payoffs in a weak conference. It's not easy to build a good team in detroit. It's not like free agents are flocking here.

Before SVG got here though, were much worse. If you look at our 2013-2014 lineup, most of those guys are out of the league or deep bench players. The overall talent level is much higher now. We still need some luck in the draft or a good trade to take the next step from "making the playoffs" to "actually being competitive in the playoffs."

No you're not exaggerating at all, this is EXACTLY the case for some around here. You're pretty spot on. Some people refuse to acknowledge any type of redeemable quality about either of these two.

This will be a very tough game to pull out a victory in. Wizards are looking very solid. I would just like to see the Pistons be competitive til the end.

Going to be a tough game but I like our chances if we play defense like we did last game and keep sharing the ball.

Would be pleasantly surprised by a win. Expecting a loss. Won't be upset if we lose a close game against what might be the second best team in the East. Top three for sure in my mind.

It shall be a very tough game. Pistons have to make sure the Wiz passing is disrupted, rebounding is a must this game, and few turnovers. Wiz can turn it on very quick and very fast. Once they get turnovers they get on the fast break and are very resilient. Drummond and Our Bench I believe are ur key matchups that can win this game. Wall and Beal will get their fair share of points and assists it's just the rest of the Wiz must not get involved.

Going to be a tough game but I think we can win this. I REALLY want this game because we have NYK and PHI next which are both very winnable games. That would put us at 4-0 going into a brutal 3 game stretch of MIN, LAC, and GSW. We need these games so we don't dig ourselves an early hole

Someone mentioned it before, but if AB and SJ lock down their guards, we are money.

ugh apparently SJ was dealing with back spasms after last game, didn't practice yesterday and didn't do shootaround this morning. that puts his status for tonight at "game-time decision" at best.

going to be rough with harris as our only SF lol... kennard would probably see some minutes in that case with harris and leuer starting.

Read on Twitter

just read the tweet again, maybe the pistons didn't have a shootaround this morning? if a player can't even go through a shootaround it's not a good sign.
