Tighten up his ball-handling, improve his basketball iq and improve his jump shot. He will be in a very good player. After watching him, I think that he and D-Lo could have played together. Lonzo isn't ball dominant.
Those of us laker fans who watched DLO and really studied Lonzo pre-draft knew they could work together... don't get my wrong they'd be awful defensively but I think in this stage of the franchise, defensive identity is not as important as offensive. Eventually you bring in guys around them that turn up the D. But like you said, they'd work because Lonzo is not some pound the rock PG like CP3. He gets it and moves it. Quite literally, he and DLO have polar opposite strengths.
DLO: Shooting, scorer, midrange, post ability, cutting off ball, slow/methodica but crafty, great in half court sets, strong in PnR.
Lonzo: speed, catch and shoot ability, full court passer, elite size, great length, crashes the glass, challenges bigs, catches lobs.
It's a shame us Laker fans will never get to see those 2 together because I think they could have been special and seeing what Lonzo did tonight and what DLO has been doing, it's hard not to feel let down that they couldn't have had at least 1 year together. Would have helped each other immensely.
