I don't think Watson had anything new to teach in the off-season.

It's not that though. It's that this team looks like they've never played basketball with each other before. part of this 'process' is that the kids (team) develop together.
They look like they're going backwards. Other teams aren't having the same issue we are. Boston only has 4 players back from last year and they've figured it out already for the most part.

Going for most points allowed in a season I suppose.

You know what, give us the first pick and I'll take it. Too bad the lotto will **** us.

probably gonna end up with the 4th pick again :banghead:

Well there seem to be 5 really good players at the top of this upcoming draft so that's not the worst thing.

This is what we wanted over Cousins, Porzingis, Irving, George, Butler.

To be honest no 1 star is going to change the outcome.. how can they play in a system where one doesn't exist. They'll have a hard time getting open shots, finding a teammate, would get double teamed all day long

I wonder if it's possible that a nightmare season, one the NBA hasn't witnessed before would be enough to get Sarver to sell in this buyers market. We would have new ownership, new GM and new coach. That's the dream.

The evil we know is better than the evil we don't know. Are you prepared to trade 3 unprotected picks for a shot at 1 year of playoff basketball?

Can't believe I'm traveling 8200 miles to watch this team next week. Two 40 point loses in 3 games is quite an achievement. Maybe I should bring over one of these Nbl teams so we can all see a close game

A thread with a poll has already been created on the GB about JJ's hand signal. It had to be a lakers fan of course

Lavar Ball could make the outrageous claim that he could beat our entire team 5 on 1, and honestly i might actually believe him on that one. #Sad

It's obviously not only the system too. I don't see what more advanced system the Blazers or Lakers are using. Let's face it - this is the NBA culture, 80% of the teams play a 5 on 5 street ball. There are just a few coaches(Popovic etc.), who are able to change it and I doubt the Suns hire one in a lost season.

Porzingis is also getting double teamed in NY. Still last I checked he had scored 30 ppt. There are the headlines he is not happy in NY for quite some time, so if the Suns are looking like a top 5 draft pick team at the tradeline, I would throw an offer of 2018 pick + Chriss, Bledsoe for some scrub or something similar. Then build around KP, Booker and JJ, bring a proved coach and sign FAs that fit the system/core players.

you know its going bad when the only guys getting any fan love at all are mike james and Bender... two guys that likely never see any playing time on any team but this one

...and a new franchise, like the Seattle SuperSonics or the Las Vegas Pink Knights. If this franchise gets sold, it's gone.

All I'm hoping for at this point is a fantastic, long term coach. I want our Carlisle, Popovich, Stevens, etc.
I'd give up our 2018 pick unprotected and more for that.

Just got home, happy I didn't watch. Don't know what to do as a fan, something needs to change, this is insanely bad.

Last year PJ Tucker was the one guy on the team that defended the toughest assignment and with no one of his caliber on the roster right now we are the worst defensive team in the league, Dudley being out and Tyson being a year older and slower doesn't help either.

Players don't know how to rotate as doubling down in the post kept leading to wide open three pointers so they are going to have to work on that a LOT if they don't want to be blown out every game.

Nope but I'm not even asking for playoff basketball. Right now, I'm happy for NBA level basketball. Through three games, you could argue we may have exhibited perhaps half a game of NBA level basketball (offensively against LA...).

that couldn't be further from the truth. Blazers especially run really greats sets. Lakers less so but still, they're not playing pickup. the NBA in general is very good when it comes to basketball X's and O's.

Whether or not a team's plays are maximizing value, or correct for the team's personnel, or whether the players make the right decisions within the sets, that's a different story. That's down to coaching.
