I am just lurking, but I am lurking all boards. Glad Sabonis is playing well, I was very down on him after his rookie season honestly, thinking Sedekerskis and Echodas were better PF prospects. But now he is reminding everyone why he is in the NBA, great. In junior competition, he was monster rebounder, but in OKC he was terrible for some reason. Some would say all that team was boxing out and trying to give all rebounds to westbrook (I am not buying it), or whatever, but I hope his rebounding comes back and translates in pros.

I think he's rebounding the best when he plays as a center. No need to stretch the floor on offense, can stay closer to the basket and fight for every offensive board. On defense, Westbrook was given a lot of those freebie defensive boards for a good reason - he's a very explosive athlete and you want him to get the ball immediately and initiate the fast break. Sabonis doesn't have great length or leaping ability. His rebounds tend to come from good positioning and his inate knack for the ball. It always seems like he has a pretty good idea which direction the ball is going to bounce to.

He won't have the same rebounding stats as in college, but he's definitely a better rebounder than what he showed playing in OKC's system last year.

I talked to a good number of OKC fans after the trade and they were all saying that they were using Sabonis horribly. Pretty much just asking him to camp by the 3 point line. Doesn't look like we'll be using him the same way. All throughout preseason and then last night he has been physical in the paint for us and getting tough rebounds. I'm excited for his future a lot more than I thought I would be. Could be a perfect fit next to Turner.

I'll answer to a call for Litvaks too ... my paternal great-grandparents were Litvaks. back then though there was a large Lithuanian Empire and no one in our family has been able to figure out the name of their village so it might be in what is now Poland or Belorus.

Domas is really talented. We did try to use him to stretch the floor, and he played solid defense but he got the rookie treatment hard. Got into foul trouble pretty easily. Definitely think he has a bright future.

I have a habit to stay up laaaate, I did pass out in third quarter yesterday tho, it was nearly 4am. So yeah u will see me sometimes in live threads even though games start like 2 or 3am.

I just don't share your opinion on DMo. Then DMo had a chance to prove himself when Howard went down - he began to shine. and later - all that soap opera with his back...
I have a pretty strong feeling that DMo hadn't say everything in the League, his back is OK and he has still plenty of years ahead (I hope).

The thing in OKC that Russ was running a circus show, glad that's over for Domas. Domas rebounding could be better described by his second year in Gonzaga. When Karno went down - he was DOMINANT against everybody. No worries for me in that his game's department

Nah, D Mo looks finished. I never liked him because of his poor shot selection, but even when he is not jacking 3s, he doesn't look good anymore. Never learned to shoot and looks much slower than before, even at FIBA level he wasn't at all relevant. I would put my hopes on Kulboka or some other prospect.

Jokes aside, a question for Pacers veteran fans: where are all the Indy fans at? This board is pretty much dead, Pacers reddit is hardly in a better condition, other Pacers forums that show up in the first page of Google search have less posts than I have fingers on one hand. Perhaps you Indiana folks have some secret place on the darkweb, out of reach from infidels (non-Pacer fans)?

most of us are really happy with this forum. there have been more active places. PacersDigest which is apparently down at the moment is busier and IndyStar may have some traffic, but I really like it here. we have a low signal to noise ratio. not many messages but what we have are usually meaningful. there are other team forums with more messages in a game thread than we have in a month or more but I sure don't need to read a message about every possession in a game. perhaps this forum is an acquired taste but stick around and judge for yourself.

Pacers Digest was very solid with plenty of smart guys. Now for whatever reason it's down. So, it's up to us to bring life to this place and increase the quality and quantity of posts .

BTW, I'm relaxed now cause Domas has his number 11 back. To have a last name of Sabonis and not a number 11 on your back - it's just wrong
