Game Thread.

And Worst Team in the NBA thread. And just most threads in general. People not only have nothing good to say about the Suns, but just generally seem to hate them for some weird reason.

Yeah, but I can't blame them for the vote of worst team based on the first three games. But the Suns are far from the most hated team on the GB. The Celtics and Warriors easily take the most crap. A lot of teams do at times...Philly, the Lakers, a bunch of people.

We are actually typically barely mentioned at all there...not that it's a good thing but other team boards talk about the General Board on a daily basis at times.

I don't spend much time there, but it seems like people were extra salty today/tonight.

Jackson had one assist and 3 turnovers. Is that really great playmaking?

I don't have a problem with them letting him playmake more but I don't know what happened specifically tonight that was impressive about his playmaking. His scoring was great but scoring and playmaking are two different things.

Jackson had some great passes tonight, just because they don't end in an assist, doesn't mean they didn't happen. The entire team passed much better even with the 21 turnovers. It was refreshing to see. He and Bender will be a delight to watch in coming seasons if they continue to develop that part of their game. I do kind of wish the NBA had hockey assist stats, though.

Jackson shot well today no coincidence with better ball movement allowing him to get at a moving defense.

5/5 from 2
1/3 from 3
2/2 from FT

Also had 5 rebounds, 3 steals in 24 minutes as effort stats.

It doesnt translate to stats yet... as in Box score.

But Jackson makes good passes... sometimes too much that he turns it over. In time, he will wait that extra half a second before he dishes it off to draw the defender completely and the open man will shoot it... at this time, he is eager to move the ball... its good.

Finally a WIN!

Good game to watch.I was excited at the end and I wanted badly to win this game because we need confidence, and confidence always comes with victories.

James is good.
He looks a solid veteran PG in this league, ala Felton or Nelson in their prime. He is strong and knows how to get to the rim, I think that he can gives an extra time to find a good trade for Bledose. We are not desperate for a PG, he and Ulis are capable of play this position for us.

Chriss was a beast in the first quarter. He defended pretty well all game long and if he defends like that I want him as our starting PF for the rest of the season. What a great surprise in this game.

Booker was Booker. Really good game, didn't force the issue too much and nailed some big shots. Great passing too.

Josh Jackson played his best game as a pro. His handles are sooo good, he can go wherever he wants on the court. Good defense and not too many turnovers.

Chandler played a good game IMO given his age and who was confronting him. WCS is mobile, agile and big...Chandler made a decent job rebounding and finishing lobs.

Happy to watch Ulis healthy and playing his fun basketball again.

GO SUNS!

Utah is going to be a good test, polar opposite style of game to Kings and Lakers.

Will get to see a lot of half court plays and whether we can get Booker and Jackson good opportunities.

I imagine their defense will give us big problems like it did in the preseason, even without Gobert. But as long as we are playing all the young guys and playing the right way, and competitively, I'm fine with any outcome.

If you look I'm the guy In the white dress shirt next to the old dude with the orange cap down by the Kings bench. I thought i heard someone loud and giving the Kings alot of grief!

Although that annoying Kings fan who was behind the Kings bench kept squawking the whole night.

Yeah the Kansas fans were the loudest of any group of fans in the entire arena.

Did you notice anything in terms of Phoenix Suns player moods being up close?

Player moods seemed to be fine. Booker kinda was whining alot to the refs at times. Jackson told the Kings coach once something like "bish please"

Nothing out of the ordinary. Kings head coach doesn't seem to do much of anything, it was funny, there was a turnover that should've been Suns ball and it was ruled Kings ball and the Kings HC goes "ya that's a great call" with obvious sarcasm as he rolled his eyes and laughed. It's crazy sitting that close up front because you here the coaches talking to the players/you hear all the little things throughout the game.

One funny thing was some Kings white dude who doesn't play was like "You can't get beat by Alex Len...he got taken 19 picks before Rudy Gobert"

I think what's interesting is the players in today's day and age are so active on social media/have a feel more like fans at times, that I was conversing with the Kings guys who weren't playing and I felt I was talking to really educated fans.

I was just lucky to get tix, I'm good friends with one of the partners of Lerner&Rowe's dad's, so the dad of one of the partners is a good friend of mine. those are his season tix he splits with another guy

Good to hear Booker and Jackson still had a competitive mindset.

Suns showed more energy in 1 quarter than in 3 previous games combined. Hope this is not a one time thing. Great game by James and Chriss (I forgot he can play basketball). I'm disappointed by Warren. 4 points? Really? I'm waiting for him to have a breakout year and become 20+ ppg scorer but I'm not sure if he wants this. I wish he had a bit of Booker's personality.
