Melo took 26 shots without attempting one free throw. That is pretty hard to do.

Phoenix lost by 42 two games after losing by 48. What the heck's going on there, Suns watchers? They get all our first round picks, can't they figure out what to do with them?

He would absolutely feast against us. None of our forwards could check him, except maybe Oubre.

Can we blame it on Cousins? 8-)

Just gotta wonder how much he'll have left in the tank come playoff time - with the Bucks so dependent on him.

Ok, is GS beatable - even with the Cinamon Twins playing significant roles off the bench? If they have good health, I see them winning 75 regular season games - maybe more.

You mean the team with 2 losses already? It’s almost a forgone conclusion that they will win the championship, but I think they will have a pedestrian reg season, by their standards at least.

I haven't watched much of the Bucks... but with anyone decently long and athletic (like Oubre)... could you still guard Giannis by basically forcing him to shoots Js? Or does he actually have a jumpshot now?

He still hasn't developed a reliable 3, but his jump shot has improved each year. And they still rave about his work ethic, so don't be surprised if that 3 ball does become part of his repertoir. But you're right - he'll beat you off the dribble if you play him tight, so give him the jump shot.

If I had a choice between Freek and Anthony Davis... gotta lean toward Davis. Davis is making 3's this season... so far. He's ridiculous. And he's bulked up to 250 lbs.

From watching NBA gametime I would say no. He isn't like Wall. Just because you give him the jumper doesn't mean he will take it.

Guys play off him and he drives anyway.

Yeah, I said before the Nuggets game in the GT, how Oubre defends Millsap will tell us a lot about if we're able to deploy him against Giannis. Giannis is obviously quicker than Millsap and can legit get a step a ahead of you because of his quickness/stride. But they're both guys who will force you to move laterally while holding your ground when they drive their shoulder into your chest. Both Oubre and Otto looked bad against Simmons, but did better against Millsap (it's worth mentioning though that our defense as a whole played better against the Nuggets)

Yeah, I was surprised how well Otto defended Millsap - given Millsap's overwhelming apparent strength advantage. Is it Millsap getting older, or Otto being a skilled interior defender who's a step quicker than Millsap?

It'll be interesting to see how Simmons develops at "point power forward?". He's ridiculously talented like Giannis - even without a jump shot - but will he put in the work to develop it. If he doesn't, teams will adjust to him.

Probably both of those things you mentioned, with also the fact that we were just a better defensive team as a unit against the Nuggets than the 76ers. Looking at Simmons' highlights against us, his effectiveness in the halfcourt was due to a lot of lazy defense on PNRs and on the help when Simmons got deep post position. There was a clip in the beginning of Simmons just straight up beating Otto but that was early in the game and I'd imagine his handles and speed caught him off guard.

Life just isn't fair is it? Allen will be one of the biggest draft steals in years. I think of this kid every time I watch Mahinmi and his tender knees playing.

He looks great. So do Kyle Kuzma, Jordan Bell, Dillon Brooks, & Dwayne Bacon -- 3 of whom went in R2. Plus, all those guys have played upwards of 20 minutes! :) They're a lock!

Include rookies w/ fewer minutes, & Sindarius Thornwell, Ante Zizic & Josh Hart join the list. Those guys have already combined for over 30 minutes.... I mean, come on... what more do you want?

We could have had Zizic last year, Allen this year, Kay Felder w/ the R2 pick we didn't have last year & Sindarius Thornwell w/ this year's R2 pick (& a little trade up I am imagining :) ).

That's Allen & Thornwell instead of McCullough & Frazier. &... oh forget about it.

Kyle Kuzma is a stud. He'll be starting for the Lakers once they trade Ingram.
