because, ya know, I'm feeling good (or better) after watching the game on TV. What a difference a day makes. Wow. The team played with fire and energy from opening tip to the closing seconds. There was spacing, extra passes, dunks, threes and little patience for mediocrity. I noticed players getting pulled when they made bone-headed plays. Warren got pulled at one point. The telling thing for me was that it looked like the players were having fun. There was a close up of Jackson and he actually cracked a smile... didn't know he could do that!

I first thought that this game... this win... was a big middle finger pointed at Watson and Bledsoe. It was validation that Watson sucked as a coach. Good yoga. Bad coach. It was validation that Bledsoe is an entitled baby who sucked the life out of our young players...

NOPE. This game was the turning point for a franchise that hit ROCK bottom Sunday up until game time. Watson didn't get fired. He quit. He quit on the team, the players and the franchise that gave him an awesome opportunity. Bledsoe quit too. It was a T-O-X-I-C environment and I was waiting for the next shoe to drop. Who was going to quit next? My expectations for the game last night were very, very low.

Instead our team competed. We had a coach that in only ONE FREAKING GAME gave the players some semblance of organization and structure. We WON the game… and there is HOPE. There is renewed hope for this franchise, the future, and these players growing and winning together.

Disclaimer: I know the win was against the lowly Kings, but man it felt good to see Fox, Skal and Bogdan get beat.

Chriss – I was stunned that he played so well. Where was this Chriss over the summer and in the first 3 games? If he keeps playing like this, I promise to stop calling him fat and lazy.

Len – What’s up the hoodie? He was the only one on the bench wearing it. It felt like he was disconnected and did not want to be there.

James / Ulis – Both played great! Were they happy to be out of Bledsoe’s shadow? Ulis was hanging with Fox – btw. Dare I say, that Ulis is as good as Fox?

Jackson – Missed some 3’s, but plays hard. Love him so far.

Booker – He was Bookering and I loved him cheering for Tyler. He did crank up some bricks. Needs to hit those.

Bender – Didn’t notice him too much. Doing the little things… I guess…

Blesdoe – Get the best deal you can. Get someone with potential.

McD – Please don’t blame McD for the Bledsoe situation. He has really been trying to trade this guy all summer long, but there were no good offers. I would rather have a patient GM, then someone who accepts medocre offers. I am all for McD pulling a rabbit out of his hat, but, sadly, there are too many teams with too many good guards. There is a point guard surplus and we should not expect a great return on Bledsoe.

Go Suns. There are better days ahead!

Whew, after your first sentence I was worried you got carried away following one game/victory :P

Trade: Bledsoe, Miami, Miami for Shumpert, Frye, Brooklyn.

Cleveland would have a good team in their prime even if LeBron leaves:

Bledsoe (27), Thomas (28), Crowder (27), Love (29), Thompson (26) could conceivably still win 50 games in the East at full health and form.

And they'd be net +2 future firsts.

Cleveland get Thomas, Bledsoe, Crowder, Miami, Miami for Irving.

We buyout Shumpert and Frye, Mike James takes Bledsoe's spot in the 15 man roster and we get 2 elite picks in the draft.

Haha, I know, I know. Not blaming you, I'm also excited AF. Now we just need to get Bledsoe's butt outta here. The sooner the better since I have him on my fantasy team as well, lol.

It's too bad the Mavs/Sixers aren't interested. I'd take Smith Jr or Fultz. I'm not really a fan of Frank from NY. I would also trade Bledsoe and both Miami picks for Frye/IT and the Nets pick. I'd do that trade in a heart beat. :D

It would also be really funny to get IT back. Imagine having IT and Ulis.

I actually think that would be the best package the Suns could get. Draft Bagley/Ayton and that Doncic guy.

It seems the main targets discussed from our side have been the Brooklyn pick or Ntilikina.

I'd rather add to our package to acquire the target than go for a discount.

I know we all want a high return on Bledsoe, but McD screwed the pooch by waiting until all this drama started. I think he would have gotten better return in the offseason before Bledsoe started tweeting about wanting out. We've lost a lot of leverage here. Sure, we can just sit on him and wait until the trade deadline and try to trade him to playoff contender, but then teams are going to question whether he's in shape and I'm not sure they're going to wow us with their offers. This isn't an ideal situation.

The question is where is our position of need? To me we really need to find out what we have and not throw more ingredients into the mix. I'd like to move Bledsoe for a 1 year expiring contract and two future 1st round draft picks (3-4) years out. Then waive whoever we get to make room for Mike James or waive DJJ. We really don't need anymore youth on this team right now. Especially with the suite of five picks slated for next year which will make us even younger. Trading 28 year old Bledsoe for a 20/21 year old prospect doesn't seem like a good idea.

PG do we want to hurt the development of Ulis and then we need to ask if James is a legit option. Getting a young PG prospect doesn't seem to help the situation but we do need a backup in case James or Ulis gets hurt. Really a lot of folks are throwing out ideas for young PGs who haven't shown anything for their current teams and we really don't need that added to the mix here. Let Ulis and James fight it out and maybe sign an old veteran PG free agent if either one gets hurt. Also, don't forget we have Brandon Knight still on the roster for next year.

SG is wrapped up by Booker although our backup in Daniels is questionable. DJJ serves as the third stringer here. We have Reed coming back at some point during the season too.

SF is wrapped up by TJ and JJ. It will be a fight to see who starts. DJJ serves as the third stringer here.

PF is a question that needs to be answered with Chriss and Bender. A battle for playing time is just what these two need and we don't need to bring in someone to stunt growth here. We already have Dudley in the third string role.

C might be our biggest need. Chandler, Len, and Williams. Need a backup in case of injury to Len/Chandler and need to be prepared to lose Len next year.

I'm sure this is pie in the sky but would Philly entertain trading either Fultz or the Laker pick (without the protections they gave to Boston) to us for Bledsoe and the Miami pick? Simmons is the real deal and going to have the ball in his hands a ton as it is. Bledsoe seems like the perfect compliment PG to that system. Bledsoe, Simmons, Embiid is nothing to laugh at. Fultz hasn't looked great at all out of the gate and I just wonder if they would consider it.

Can always ask I'm sure Cleveland didn't think Isaiah Thomas was gettable.

I'm not opposed to sitting Bledsoe for 3 months, Booker and Jackson need to see something like that or they'll be next when things don't go their way.

I been on vacation. I was at the Suns @ Clippers Game. During timeouts, nobody would talk to Watson. It was clear it was over for him. Also, Bledsoe had his head down at the bench. I also had a chance to meet Shams Charania. If anybody ever gets a chance to head to a game at Staples vs the Clippers, I really recommend it, tickets are cheap and good value!!

With how tough West is, the protection actually matters imo. While highly unlikely that Denver both misses the playoffs and wins in the lottery, the higher upside scenarios of that trade's outcomes depend on it.

Yeah, the west is so brutal almost anyone outside of the Warriors could miss the playoffs. I don't think Memphis will keep this up, but they've already beaten the Pelicans, Warriors and Rockets, the first two by double digits at home and the Rockets by 8 on the road. I picked Denver 5th or 6th so am I high on them but the west is extremely brutal. Even if they didn't get super lucky in the lottery, it could still end up a late lotto pick. Of course Bledsoe should make them better, but who knows if that happens or if he stays healthy.

The Ringer sent out some trade possibilities in their email today.

The awful:

Austin Rivers and Atlanta's 2018 2nd round pick for Bledsoe

The not bad but don'tneed another wing:

Rockets Get Bledsoe and Isaiah Thomas, Chris Paul to Cleveland, Channing Frye and Jae Crowder to Phoenix

Their best one:

Minnesota Sends Gorgui Dieng, Tyus Jones, and OKC’s 2018 First-Round Pick to Phoenix for Bledsoe

They also had a separate piece regarding the Suns and detailing a bunch of decisions by McD and what has happened under Sarver's watch, if you care at all to read... https://www.theringer.com/nba/2017/10/23/16527372/phoenix-suns-earl-watson-eric-bledsoe

I read the ringer article and while I agree it's been a series of unfortunate events for the suns I do find it funny that had they kept that core from the 48 win team intact we'd be seeing the same writers posting articles on how the suns are on a treadmill to nowhere and should have blown it up years ago. I get it everyone is going to be rolling out their hit pieces on the suns this week because it's good content and frankly it's deserved but I think there is some revisionist history by some on how good that 48 team really was.

On the actual trades yeah that first one is really bad. The second one is OK if they found a home for Crowder and made it a 4 teamer with a decent prospect or pick coming back. And I agree I like the Minnesota trade too.

The price is so low it's basically leftover FA and fringe draft pick level.

May as well keep him for draft day and hope we can trade up.
