Individual defensive rebounding is overrated. It's about the team and oftentimes, the guy(s) boxing out. Ideally guards grab D boards so they can enter offense quickly which kinda matters when sporting a .96 assist/tov ratio.

On that note CHA has a 120.4 ORtg with Kemba and Frank on the court. A small sample but the 117.9 sample since last season, and 115.5 since February 2016, is not.

The 2016-17 Warriors were 116.6

Clifford should stop trotting out 5 bench players at once.

He shouldn't do that period, but it's even more important when we have so many players out of action. I hope that Clifford will be more inclined to stagger rotations once we're healthy.

what would your preferred lineup look like when Kemba sits (based on who was available last 2 games)?

Should Kemba be 1st sub so that he can steady 2nd unit? or other way around, Howard, Marvin, Lamb early so they can return with Monk?

only 3 other players in history have attempted 9+ FTs and made 0 - Wilt, Shaq and Truck Robinson

Bring Lamb off the bench. Sub Monk for Kemba earlier. Frank at 2nd unit C. Start Treveon at SF and increase his minutes. Split PF minutes between Marvin, Treveon, and Frank.

Getting MKG back is huge because his grab n go's help create cross-matches and early offense, assuming of course CHA's bigs understand the value in letting perimeter players grab uncontested rebounds.

We have the same conversations about Clifford every year.

- He needs to stagger rotations and not play 5 man bench units.
- He needs to not take til after the all-star break to figure out a workable rotation.
- He needs to play certain players up a position more.
- He needs to adjust to in game matchups and not adhere 100% to a set rotation.

I'm not going to hold my breath for any of those things to happen.

We've also constantly heard that Cliff over relies on Kemba and vets, yet here we are with Bacon and Monk heavy in the rotation and Marv continuing to have his role reduced (he's playing 7 fewer MPG than last season) in favor of Frank.

I think our rotations are broken with the injuries. The backup PG situation has to be fixed. I don’t think any of us have confidence in MCW but maybe it’ll work since he’s a taller guard and can distribute. That is our biggest issue right now.

Another major issue is the lack of effiency out of Marvin. He plays solid D but if he’s going to be a stretch four then he has to hit his open shots which he does not. We need to add a three point shooter and real backup PG somehow.

Monk so far hasn't had any trouble getting us into our sets. Lamb should be doing most of the attacking on the 2nd unit anyways, so I'm really not worried about the PG situation. Monk fits perfectly fine there, especially once we get healthy. We have four solid wings with good size (not even counting Batum) who can manage on defense, especially with Cody backing them up. Lamb attacking the PnR with Cody/Marv/Frank with Monk/Graham or Bacon spacing the floor seems like a fine setup. Moving Lamb back to the bench is the key though, otherwise we have no one to carry the offense and Monks lack of playmaking/experience stand out a lot more. Monk/Lamb/Graham or Bacon/Marv or Frank/Cody, actually seems like a pretty sweet second unit to me.

Its kind of cool how we all of a sudden have a ton of wing depth after having to deal with a chronic shortage for so many years. Its also cool that two of them (Bacon/Graham) were value pickups in the 2nd round and undrafted free agency. I think there have been some clear signs that our amateur scouting has improved over the last few years (still super skeptical about our pro scouting though). Who will be the odd man out once Batum comes back? I'm kind of thinking Bacon.

Batum/Lamb
MKG/Graham/Bacon

I'm guessing that will be the wing setup once we are fully healthy.

The largest predictors of playing time in the NBA are draft rank and salary....

That said Cliff does seem to like Bacon, so IDK.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Its because he looks like Marvins twin.

Doesn't he though? It's kind of freaky (and confusing when you're watching the game on your laptop). Might be an explanation for Cliff starting a second rounder. Maybe he'll start anyone who looks like Marv. He'll be asking for 3 more Marv clones from Cho soon to round out his perfect five man squad.
