Reggie Jackson for Eric Bledsoe

Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Yeah a Reggie for Bledsoe straight swap would be awesome like that article suggest but doesn't seem realistic.

It’s a thought - I’m trying to picture Phoenix wanting Reggie to lead the charge with their youth. Not sure that’s happening. But Phoenix’s FO is pretty bad - maybe we could flip three years of Reggie for two of Bledsoe. I voted that one of the three first rounders need to be tossed in, I suppose that makes it a bit more even.

It looks like we are headed for a rebuild, so I wouldn't give up first rounders or the young guys.

RJ & 2018 for Bledsoe

No real long term damage if we make the playoffs

They add another pick to their war chest and will have a huge salary filler in a couple of years to attach to youth/picks for a stud

I'd add Ellenson or Stanley (no way I'd add Kennard or a 1st), no more than that, and that would not be enough to get the deal done. So I'd try to address our other holes before spend a real asset to upgrade our starting PG.

We need a starter SF and a backup Center and we need Ish to play a lot better than he is playing.

Jackson for Bledsoe is 100% yes for everyone and anyone who disagrees doesn't understand how bad our PG is.

I'd add Stanley Johnson and a second round pick for Bledsoe. Possibly give up another prospect but not kennard or henry.

No first rounder. Especially in the future with the odds changing on the lottery.

I agree we are not a team who should be considering moving a first rounder unless is brings back someone like a Paul George, Jimmy Butler, Kyrie Irving type player.

I'm trying to figure out a way we can get Bledsoe and still keep Reggie and Bradley. Maybe trade Stanley, Luer and an unprotected 1st. We end up with a 3-guard rotation with Bradley playing 6th-man. Seems unrealistic, but maybe SVG can make it happen?

Yes, but there's not chance Phoenix wants any part of Jackson.

I would hate to see any 1st round draft picks sent for a player with recent availability issues. Not interested in exchanging one problem for another. Pistons need to find a young player with potential who doesn't restrict ball movement or disrupt tempo, who can also shoot adequately without having a false belief in his talent.

Need to get guys that arent all about their own ego or stats.

That's generally why good teams are good - cause those players are no longer concerned with their "status" in the league

I wouldn't add a pick for Bledsoe if we have to take back Chandler. I'm ok taking back Chandler in a deal but no high end young assets or picks
