Well they have the worst luck with their draft picks when it comes to health. Seriously though, issues with your shooting shoulder at the point where you can't lift your arm up is quite concerning. The idea that he is only going to miss three games is ridiculous. He's had this injury all camp, he clearly needs surgery.

Right... But it's weird they're saying they don't know how to fix it at the moment... Like surgery won't fix it... Why would they say that if it wasn't true? Does he need to play a certain number of games to get paid or something?
I mean if they tried to hide the need for surgery so they could trade him, wouldn't that just come out in the physical anyway?

Could they want to trade him but he doesn't want to be traded? Or is this just an Org trying to save face...

As new information comes in you'd kinda expect people to change their stance.... Maybe not. That's clearly the case with Ingram though, ESPN basketball guys that were pro Ingram last year are saying he's not that dude this year. Honestly I don't even think zach watched the Lakers.

I'm not sure somebody that watches a ton of basketball would say they would die on the Julius Randle hill. That's a strong statement. Especially when the team that pays him seemingly thinks the opposite. I have nothing against Julius, I'm just monitoring the Lakers actions.

I could be over blowing his die on the hill statement but he says it a lot about Randle and he admits it. But I'm like, if you're going to die on that hill what are you willing to do for the Greek freak.

Meh I think his comment means more like he sees something in Julius that others don't whereas everyone was on the Giannis bandwagon at the first hint of his talent. If you read his previous columns he states clearly that not a lot of people appreciate a PF who cannot shoot but Randle is a unique case because he has tremendous footspeed relative to his position and that comes into play when he switches on pick and roll. He held his own against quicker PGs like Schroeder and Wall and got blocks, that's a scary good defensive skill if he can bring it more often. Hell I wouldn't even mind starting him at center if he brings that motor more consistently.
