All Jefferson Deserves No Minutes

Post#1 » by JermaineOYea » Thu Oct 26, 2017 1:49 am

Cant make a shot from anywhere other than a tip in, even then I get nervous seeing him take those... He can't defend, he's flat-footed, makes bonehead decisions - like getting himself stuck in bad spots, and he just whines... Always whining. I don't care if Myles is unavailable. Play Ike.

I'm tired of holding my breath when he's on the court. He's basically David Harrison.

LOL i was talking with someone on twitter during the Heat game when Sabonis got in foul trouble early on and i said that same exact thing, it's deja vu back to watching David Harrison. Good stuff.

Major issue is Turner being out, of course, but i can't wait until the develop and mature Ike Anigbogu a bit more and he gets some of those minutes.

It's tough on the eyes watching Jefferson play ball at his current age.

Jefferson is complete trash.

Useless in every single way.

I don't care what kind of better shape he's in, he's nothing more than a total waste out there.

Excellent way to describe it. Sad that this man is making 10 million dollars this season. He should literally donate every cent of it, its a total heist.

Unfortunately we don't have many better options at this point. When Turner gets back, I don't think we will see him getting much burn even off the bench.

I'd rather have a 37 year old Troy Murphy come out of retirement lol

I could care less from where he makes his shots, he is making them at 0.625, what more do we want?

He don't fit but right now, we badly need his offense now that our born ready sixth man forgot where he left his scissors to cut his umbilical cord and in the grand scheme of things, and it's not like his defense is much worse than that of his teammates.

BoBo trying to guard starting wings is what I would want to try to fix first. Then I would start worrying about my backup centers defense.

I've been very anti-Jefferson his entire career, but right now, I'm glad we can play him, because I feel like others are making a bigger mess out there.

I was not the biggest fan of Jefferson last year, but I think he's slightly put it back together a little bit. I might be in the minority here, but to me, at least offensively, he's a willing passer and seems to be a net positive on that side of the floor when many aren't. Defensively is another story, but regardless, I think he at least has a role now and I'm not sure he's really the root of our problems as a team anyway.

Ike should get some minutes at back up Center. I wouldn't give him the 15-20 that Al is getting, but he should be getting 6-8 and give Al the remaining minutes.

When Myles returns, bench Al. If Ike is doing a decent job, continue to give him the 6-8 minutes per game and give him a chance to grow. Let Sabonis collect the bulk of his minutes at PF and any leftover minutes at Center after Myles and Ike. Play Leaf at back up PF for 15 mpg and use TYoung at PF and SF playing a total of 30-32 mpg. Maybe later in the season Leaf will be able to play some at SF...I hope.

Al is horrible on defense and takes up space for the dribble drive on offense. We need a rim runner and some one in the pick and roll off the bench. Ike is at least one of those, but defensively he can't be any better than Al.

He's literally known for his defense.

Couldn't agree more. I just wish he is kind of mentoring our young bigs on the side.

Literally known for his college defense. This is the NBA.
