Predict our 3 game California road trip.

Post#1 » by bstein14 » Thu Oct 26, 2017 1:57 pm

How do you think we will do. We've got three games in four nights.

Sat Oct 28th @ LA Clippers
Sun Oct 29th @ GS Warriors
Tue Oct 31st @ LA Lakers

Feels like winning one of those games would be good.... winning two would be great.

Pistons 1-11 against these teams the past four years on the road. Too much partying in LA. BAGEL!

Beating the Clips on their home court would be great. Then go to GS take a ass whooping more then likely which makes us hungry to go out and dominate the Lakers.

My guess is we lose all 3. We might be able to win that first game, but Warriors is as close to a guaranteed loss as you can get, and while the Lakers are bad, fatigue will sit in by the time they play that game. If we can end this road trip with a 4-4 record I’d be happy.

Gores will likely be at the two LA games so maybe that will give the guys some extra motivation?

1 game would be acceptable as long as the other two are hard fought.

Yeah just come back at least at 4-4 and we will deal with it being our first out west road visit early on. I think they can get 2 out of it though.

Best case scenario we steal the first one against the clippers, get blown by the warriors early and Give the starters some rest, and beat the Lakers after that
But I can also see us going 0-3...

0-3, all of those teams are subjectively better than we are.

Brook Lopez beat us several times single handed last season. He has help now.

I don't mean to rain on anyone's parade but what's the point of discussing/debating a three game record? The choices are 3-0, 2-1, 1-2, or 0-3, none of which mean squat right now.

Meh. You don't have to agree. But, my comments aren't baseless.

I only have two wishes: One, that they must beat the Lakers... secondly, that they make Austin Rivers look as bad as Stanley Johnson looked in the season opener.

I think they end up beating one of the L.A. teams.

1-2 or 0-3. Leaning more towards 0-3 because the lakers have Lopez now who seems to only show up against us lol

So looking at the numbers so far, the Clippers are the 3rd best offensive team in the league and the best defensive team, that's a loss, even tho we're not doing bad ourselves, they're just too good. We are the 9th best offense and 12th best defense in the league at the moment.

Golden State is the best offensive team and the 6th worst defensive team, and it's a b2b for us, I can't see us winning this one, even tho they've been terrible on defense so far.

After 2 losses we'll play the Lakers, who are terrible offensively, they're the 25th best offensive team so far, they're pretty solid on defense tho, 11th. We should win this game.

So imo we will be 1-2.
