Great and here come the "Your boy" comments just because I like him as a player. Nice attempt at downplaying how 100% right I am. "My boy" is also missing Myles Turner and that loss had more to do with the lack of a team than with Oladipo. If we replace Ross with Vic, we're better. Just deal with it.

35 points on 11-18 shooting 5-8 from the 3pt line. AG puts that it means he's elite if Oladipo does it means he's horrible. Standard.

Nice job keeping your daily anger out of your posts. That lasted what maybe 3 weeks? I'm not down playing anything. It's beyond annoying how some around here can't let go of certain former players, even when they have been gone for a season plus. I guess we'll revisit this when Dipo scores 30+ more than once or twice a season. I guess we'll revisit this once his ppg drops back down to the 14-18 range we are accustom to.

Dipo is a role player that occasionally gets hot. Also he and Payton did not play well together, so much so that our GM at the time shipped out Dipo because he believed in Payton much more. Nice attempt at downplaying these facts.

His efficiency will come down, but I suspect with more shots than ever he will score 30+ plenty of times this season. That's what happened when we let him take 17 fga the second half of his sophomore season.

The point is, he's the same as Harris. Neither pushed us over the edge into playoff contender, then or now. They are the two most complained about recent former players, both have been gone more than a season. Let them go, and sit back and enjoy the Heart & Hustle 2.0 squad we have now. The past is the past, no use in some around here keep bring them up.

Eh, they were young, developing players just like the rest of the team. They would likely fit right in with this team. But yes, they're gone, so it's not worth stressing over much... more of a what if type thing. I'm more interested in what we could have got for them. Paul George with this year's squad would have been perfect.

We were never going to get Paul George for the same package the Thunder gave up for him. The Pacers GM traded George for the Thunder package because he was incredibly stupid worrying about trading him in conference in the East and spiteful to not trade George to the Lakers like he wanted.

And yes he didn't really have a say in where he went but I do think he did ultimately. He probably had a list of teams he wanted to go to and the rule of thumb is you never trade a high caliber player within your own conference if you can help it.

I don't think it's a coincidence they went for Indiana fan favorite Oladipo.

Ever hear the phrase, "cutting off your nose to spite your face"? There was no question the Pacers were going to suck after losing George no matter what they got back in a realistic trade package. Not getting the best return for your superstar, especially when he's trying to force his way out, is just foolish, conference be damned.

Me neither. I remember his first regular season game which was at Indiana and how much love he was getting as a Pacer opponent.
