One BIG misstep by the ownership will probably kill this season. One thing I don't think was wrong was giving giving space to Murray and Mudiay to develop. Millsap signing was also smart. Both are more or less risky moves, but make logical sense. But here is where the good things end and the reason for the poor start begins.

First you lose your No1 scoring option and main SF, and you don't find any replacement. Gallo was frustrating, but he knew how to score. Now you have a suspect fit in Chandler and a kid who may be better suited as a pf in Juancho to play the possibly most important position on the team. Barton is a SG who can try and fill the role, but also very poor fit. That is unexeptable.
Then you have Faried, Arthur, Juancho and even Plumlee. Now you get Millsap, smart. Nut not only do you not trade any of the other pfs, but you trade down in draft to take Lyles and Lindon!!! WTF! For the least important and least felxible position in the game. Guys that can't play center cause they are not big enough and can't play shooting forward cause they are not fast enough. 7 power forwards and 1.5 shooting forwards! This leads to bad chemistry, rotation problems etc.

Now they wanna bring in Bledsoe and I am not sure this will solve the problem. You wanted to give two young pgs a chance, but give up on them after 4 games. And plus the sf problem remains. They need to find a solid shooting forward, a 3 and D guy, nothing spectacular, but something other then Chandler. Understand that this is a deeply flawed team, that can only get better with good chemistry and better coaching. You have to decide if you are going to build around Jokic or not. Having the number 1 offence last season under Jokic, playing great basketball, and the only logical conclusion you come up with after that season was "we are gonna play less Jokic centric basketball"! WHY!? You have great fits in Harris, Juancho and I think Millsap and Murray can be as well. But either go all in or not at all. Don't half ass it. I am torn on Malone cause he gave the keys of the franchise to Jokic in only his second season which I don't think many coaches would have the guts to, but he still has many flaws. But I also think that assistent coaches have more effect on the game then we give them credit for. We saw how after Thibs went from Boston the defence was never the same, and the same might be true with Denver offence since I heard your assistent coach for offence left this season too.

Anyway, you have a special player in Jokic. But he is not a complementay piece. You either give him the keys of the offence or you trade him. For a team like Denver I think there is only one logical step.

The addition of Millsap isn't sufficient (Millsap is unfortunately, a nice/passive guy). This also has a lot to do with the culture.

The loss of Chris Finch too is a factor, though this is only the 4th game of the season, we should give some more games before weighing on this factor.

A lot of the current performance has got to do with Malone as well, he needs to improve fast, we don't want to listen to his well-spoken interviews. We want results.

Edit: a word

Aw, come on, they said he was a defensive minded coach and he surely changed our defense - into one of the worst in the NBA.
They said he was a young players-coach. Remember when he said, "We have no veteran leadership" and Gallinari said "that's not true". Remember dissatisfaction by Gallinari, Faried, Chandler, Barton, even some noise from Barton? Perhaps we remember his inability to handle/deal with Nurkic? Just doesn't seem like a players-coach to me. On the other hand, for a few months he had the offense going guns of fire last year (Jokic-centric). Of course now he's moved away from what worked. <sigh> And as you pointed out, loss of Finch may be a factor, but he's lost other assistant coaches and people directly involved with the players. But hey, at least he sounds good during interviews.

Lets say we fire Malone....
1.) Who would you hire?
2.) What are our choices for a coach to actually be better than Malone

Faried needs more minutes. If you guys aren't hitting shots anyway then why keep soft shooters out there. Get Faried in there to shake things up and inject energy in the team. He can't be that much an offensive liability

But really you guys will be fine. Hornets shot well and you guys didn't.

No off the ball movement, too many guys trying to create their own offense and not playing in a system, lack of a real system, lack of shooting off the bench, 2 many guys trying to be in the same spots, to much Plumlee and Jokic, Chandler pouting, and a terrible lack of toughness around our stars all add up to a terrible team. This is on the coach and front office, and this team is in trouble.

When I said this my thread got locked and i got given a warning for trollling. I just got back from charlotte... wish i hadnt even attended that game it was a joke... this team stinks right now really bad. They completely screwed up this offseason and changes need to be made immediately to salvage this thing

See, that's the thing, there aren't any good NBA coaches available and I am precarious to getting a college coach that can handle NBa players unless he has some winning credentials to back him up. This team is young enough to succumb to a young successful coach but have had enough of the "learning on the job" with the last two coaches IMO.
