Seattle Times - Kenji Johjima and Ichiro both expressed pleasant surprise in the clubhouse after overhearing a TV report about the Mariners' rumored trade interest in Yankees pitcher Kei Igawa, who is also Japanese.

We'll probably have to pick up so much of either's salary that a trade wouldn't even be worth it given the marginal talent we'd get back.

The Orioles asked about Kei Igawa, but were told he's not available.

Found that on MLBTradeRumors. I hope it is because a deal is in place or already done not because someone in the Yankee organization does not want to admit a mistake. -Jitpal
