Would we be better with Tyson Chandler than Biyombo? Chandler definitely has more of an offensive game, if he can play defense consistently it be a no brainer to do the switch.

He's probably more like average on defense now, but Biz isn't exactly living up to his defensive reputation here.... they had the same rim protection % last season. On offense Chandler would give us what people thought they were getting with Biz. We could actually use his efficiency and screens to our advantage. IMO our bench would benefit more from Chandler.

yeah Id swap Biyombo with Chandler.Tyson is grandpa but he is a good pressence vet and more than capable to play 20+ mins off the bench also has a one year shorter contract and its 13 mil not 17.

When players get traded in the NBA, Do they count less against the team's salary cap when they get traded to another team? I know it does in NFL. If we got a player like Bledsoe, he could count less against our salary cap than on Phoenix salary cap.

It may depend on how much salary comes back for both teams. Keep in mind that both sides have to meet the salary qualifications for the trade to be agreed upon.

Making a trade with the best start in 5+ years would be the most Otis/Hennigan thing to do.

Haven't read the whole thread, saw some mention of chandler for biyombo.

1. The suns are most likely not looking to add salary after the '19 season, so it probably wouldn't happen.
2. Chandler's defense is bad now. He's really just a rebounder at this point. He doesn't fight on defense at all, is slow, and doesn't try to contest pick and roll at all.

I would like to upgrade the point, but with someone who can shoot. That’s not him.

If we can get a starting caliber point guard that can shoot on the trade market, who embraces ball movement and the team concept, this thing could really take off.

If I'm Phoenix, I'd be intrigued by a (now less expensive) Mario, a 1st (OKC's or ours-protected) + DJ...DJ has his limitations, but he's a pro who can lead. Mario is no worse than a draft pick with great tools who may or may not get it in the next couple of years and a pick...I'm "intrigued" by Bledsoe, but he's no sure thing either...all depends what else is being offered. I don't give Payton for Bledsoe, but I'd like to get him. I sure don't blow up our core for him when we're in good rhythm right now.

It looks like the Suns are going to hold out until early December (the 15th I think?) when the players that signed this summer can be traded.

If PHX wants Payton, Augustin, Biyombo and Hezonja for Bledsoe and Chandler I'd be all in for that, if not, nah
