Adams still been our best this season I feel. Gets my vote for this one.

I've also really warmed up to Melo. Just have to get him more catch and shoot opportunities and less iso long 2s.

The Bulls really stink, but whatever, I’ll take the win.

the josh huestis experiment is coming to an end for me. this guy can't really shoot, his defense is ok man-to-man but he's worse than grant off the ball, and he can't put the ball on the floor.

i'd like dakari to get a shot at rotation minutes, but obv. it'd require having big lineups. dakari-patterson-melo-abrines-felton. put that out there and see what happens. he takes up a lot of space and seems comfortable making decisions.

this would have been much closer if the bulls could shoot threes. lots of open looks. hopefully this win can be a slump buster for the guys.

Wouldnt surprise me to see any or all of Huestis, Abrines or grant moved at the deadline.

Not a lot to say about this game. As mentioned before, easy defense => easy offense. So let's try to play good defense against better opponents and we should improve big time (this made me think that last year ''we'' gave a pass on Westbrook's defense because we needed him at 100% on offense, which is not the case this year with our new players, so I really hope he can play more defense)

Think Donovan is in love with Grant and we don't have a lot of bigs. To be honest I think Grant is doing ''ok'' so far (I have never been high on him that's maybe why I'm thinking that). Abrines contract is still very good so I don't believe Presti wants to get rid of it (unless we have a good offer)

abrines has had an awful start to the year. his only value is as a three point shooter.

The best thing about tonight was to see Andre play extended minutes with the starters.

The only bench player showing some sort of talent is Felton. This is really bad.

I believe Patterson is going to improve and I still believe that we'll get at least one from Huestis or Abrines to play like a quality NBA role player.

The funny thing is, Zach Lowe said that the Thunder's glaring problem was a "5th rotational player to play alongside the core four." He pretty much poo pooed Andre because of his offense and suggested Grant or Patterson (duh) play more minutes alongside those guys. Also capped it off with a gem:
There will be no place to hide Alex Abrines on defense against good teams. Jerami Grant has played zero seconds alongside the Westbrook-George-Anthony-Steven Adams quartet, and Billy Donovan may consider any lineup with George as the nominal shooting guard a little too big. I'd try it -- with Grant or Patrick Patterson. Raymond Felton is ... Raymond Felton.
Needless to say, I think Zach Lowe needs to watch more Thunder games.

He's a good shooter and eventually he'll get it going if and when he's given consistent minutes and his superstar teammates figure out he's on the floor often enough for him to get into a rhythm.

Easy money. Chicago is a roster full of roll players.

I'm going to give him 10 games but so far the results have been underwhelming I would agree. His jumper has left him now that he's facing live fire which is disappointing. He's legitimately worse than Roberson at putting it on the floor so if he can't hit that 3 there's really no place for him out there at all. His defense isn't on a level to make up for it.

I'm having a love hate experience with Carmelo so far. I love when his shot goes in but I hate so many of the shots he takes outside of the open threes. Those off the dribble 18 footers are just murder.

Yeah I'm pretty much spot on with you on him. Really good player, an when his shot is falling its great but it always feels like maybe there's a better shot. I don't mind it and I'm coming around on him, but its just weird.

Your username describes Melo perfectly. Idk the numbers, but his midrange jumper has been deadly. His 3 point ball seems inconsistent as hell though

9 of his last 21 from 3 point range so he seems to finding his shot there. Mid range game is good but I agree that he should pick his spots better. He's a rhythm player so those moments he goes 2-3 minutes without a look he's definitely gonna try to make something happen when he sees the chance.

This is my first time watching Westbrook consistently and I'm saying the same thing in terms of love/hate. Love the aggression but damn he's an eyesore when he gets frustrated and starts forcing things. If him and Melo could break those habits man they'd even more dangerous.

This Chicago team could well be historically bad on offense, they are tanking hard. You still allowed them a bit many too many open 3s, though quite a few of them were by Grant who is just as bad as his bro at this, so maybe it wasn't such a bad idea. ;)

Still, you did what you had to, Westbrook played mostly under control though he overthought things at times and the starters did their job.
