That would be insane. I don't think he scores as much his rookie year. I'm thinking 15ppg, 9apg and 7 rpg is about right. But even these numbers are insane lol.

i think simmons shoots 6-8 free throws a game. the guy's gonna attempt at least 12 shots a night, probably a lot more. and most of those shot attempts will be at the rim i'm assuming

he's scoring 18 a night right now and only getting to the ft line 2.5 times a game. i think he's gonna get to the line a lot more as this season progresses and he might stabilize at around 19-20 ppg this year.

if he gets to the FT line more, he'll be a 20 ppg scorer, if not, then he'll average around 17/18 ppg. the guy realizes he needs to contribute on the scoring end, realizes he needs to hit the midrange. the evolution of ben simmons, phase 2 in year one lol

ben is shooting 5 free throws a game. he's getting to the free throw line 2.5 times a game. same thing.

so if he gets to the line 4 times a game, he's shooting 8 free throws.

that's how i was putting it. maybe im saying it wrong

You guys brought up fouls, what bothers me is we are tied for the second worse in the league in personal foul differential.

We need to pay off these refs better or something.

The teams extremely young, un-proven in terms of NBA experience and outside of Embiid/Simmons.....made up of spot up shooters with limited offensive versatility. We won't start getting calls until we prove ourselves and/or players start putting themselves in attacking positions and making contact.

Its less on the refs and more an issue with personnel/scheme TBH.

Your math doesn't work since you often go to the line to only shoot one free throw. That's why people just go with actual attempts.

I think what you're looking for is the "SfDrawn" in bbr's play by play chart. Hasn't been updated for this season yet though.

Yes, FTA would be the stat.

It's the unfortunate byproduct of being a team that prefers to shoot 3's than attack the rim and draw fouls. Even Embiid seems to prefer to shoot 3's. I am not sure where we are for 3 point attempts in the NBA but it would have to be top 5 surely.

Your right, that would make sense, but we are 10th in the league in 3pters attempted per game. Houston takes by far the most 3s in the league but they are far ahead of us in personal foul differential (cause of Harden of course).

Guess I'm saying, this is a young team and we aren't getting the respect of the refs yet. Hopefully we earn it, cause watching the games it obvious to me we aren't getting calls, which is why I was looking at it. When your in the same group as the Magic, Hawks, and Pistons....there is something wrong.
