Agree. He is much more NBA ready than TLC and Korkmaz. So damn disappointed that he has been forced to stash for a year overseas. I think he could have gotten some good NBA minutes.

Bolden is very promising, he should be great for the future. Anyway, all 3 guys have good length, it will come down to who improves in shooting, hopefully 40% on 3s eventually, and defense.

There's only about 30 guys who shot 40%+ on decent volume last year, probably a little much to hope for from those two. If they can both hit 35% but quick-trigger and relatively high-volume, that'd be a great outcome for us. I also think that the rest of their games are more improtant for their success--if TLC can become a genuinely good defender who can also take a couple dribbles to collapse the D, and if Bolden can make smart plays on both sides of the court, shooting 34% rather than 40% won't make or break them.

I wouldn't call him 'great,' I'd put him at okay with great potential because of his length and willingness to run the floor. In any case, pt is that he's not good enough at almost anything yet to be a real contributor to a real team--once you're TLC's age, the bar is slowly being raised from 'he looks legitimately capable' to 'can he actually do this stuff on par with the best 150 or so players in the world on a nightly basis.' He needs to get to that level in a few areas--and I agree transition is one of his best chances--before we're really thinking about him as a solution.

I'd be more lenient if he was a 19 year old fresh outta college.

But he spent 4 years as a professional overseas and was drafted as a junior aged player. He should be more refined than he is. It's disappointing.

He didn’t look too bad in pre-season. This whole team right now is all screwed up.

He is a better option to start than Bayless.
His defense and transition finishing should fit better with Simmons and Redick.

Tough start for our guards, not to make excuses, but Wall + Beal, Kyrie + Jaylen, and Lowry + Derozan some very good matchups.

I don’t think he is behind schedule. I mean last year he came into the nba without any real expectation of him being competitive in the first year, and by the end of the season he earned a nice role on the team. Not a good nba team obviously, but he showed that he was able to contribute in the league.

This year we want him to take the next step and he may or may not do that, but he has time.

He's the kind of player who shine when the team chemistry and the Bball ID is settled and consistant !
He's to raw so far to build on him, but guys like Joel and Simmons can lead the squad in a short term vision and bring this thoughness that need this group of players ! They already know what is it to fail, they now have to have the reaction expected : WIN !
And TLC is the perfect soldier for that !

To be fair to TLC, Brett’s rotations are always kind of screwy.

TLC has been extremely underwhelming. His shot is not developing, he still plays bipolar defense and he attacks the basket like an 8th grader.

He hasn't really developed much over the past year+ change. Outside of his size+speed, he hasn't been bringing a ton to the table.

He shot 85.4% from the FT line last year and his shot mechanics look fine. I don't think it's fair to say his shot is not developing. It seems like there is certainly room for optimism.

He also graded positively defensively last season and continues to this season, and rookies are usually awful at defense.

We're not looking for him to develop into a creator. We just hope he can develop into a serviceable rotation 3 and D wing, and I think that's still very much on the table.
