I honestly expected Dekker and Harrell to play. I think they're too good not to play. When I saw them playing with Houston I could see why they got minutes. They both can have bigger roles on our team. Besides Doc not playing them, I don't know why they haven't gotten much PT.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

It isn't that Dekker and Harrell won't ever play, it's that our core (namely Gallo) is in chaos now, and adding more chaos at this moment might not be the smart move. Job One is getting Gallo sorted out.

Not saying I agree, but this is a brand new team and we don't even know what 'Clipper basketball' even is anymore, let alone expecting people to play it. Willie Reed and Sindarius are getting minutes, presumably because they've earned them. Montrezl is the odd man out with the bigs, and unless Dekker can play the 3, he's even odder.

Dekker can definitely play the 3, Wes has just been taking those minutes. Wes's shot seemed like it was back, but it's back down again.

This might just be what Doc does early as he tries to figure out his team. A lot of 40-41 mins games for Blake and DJ early in the 13-14 season also when Doc first joined.

Well-observed. Doc's into continuity and we don't have very much of it with only Blake, DJ, and Austin--and WeJo's getting like his 5th chance to make the rotation. Otherwise throwing 5 guys out there is a pick-up team, and throwing a pickup team out on the floor is NOT what you call coaching. So you try combinations with Blake and DJ.

I haven't seen enough of Dekker at the 3, and mebbe it's a typo but acc to Basketball Reference, he played 87% of the time at PF last year. What I like is that 44% of his FGAs were from 3, even if he only hit 32%.

But Dekker's in the same mold as Gallo and getting Gallo right with Blake & DJ comes first. If Gallo doesn't come around it doesn't matter what Dekker does.

Injuries limited some of what the team should have been able to work on during preseason. It was said that the team mostly focused on defense and haven't put in much work on offense. It has shown. Too iso-centric so far, which forces the team to work hard for every half-court point. We've also had one of the lighter schedules so far, and one would like to think that the offense is being worked on. Starters are seeing more minutes than they should be playing on a nightly basis. Energy and focus were lacking last night.

I did underestimate the Pistons going into the game. I have to tip my hat to them for knocking us and the Warriors off on a B2B.

And Milos papered over the cracks in the offense.
