Gee the guy is a multi millionaire does not mean it's a free for all , we need to all show decency whether it's to a beggar or a rich guy..

Are people really this sensitive, holy crap

Blows my mind. Some fans care much more than I’m sure Hayward would.

The guy who did this costume would kill to trade bodies with Hayward so it's not. If a guy with two working legs did this I would agree though

We don't need this guy making fun of the Hayward injury to know paraplegics exist.

You mean amputees?

Not really related to this thread, but Chicago Bears TE Zach Miller had his leg implode on him after making a catch. It's so bad that surgeons are attempting to save his leg.

What's even worse is that dumbass fans are still crying about a touchdown being resended rather than praying that Miller doesn't have his leg amputated. Football is just a crazy sport filled with some of the most ass-backward fans and owners.

Holy crap!

I feel sick just hearing about that, idk how I didn't even hear about that happening yet but I can't even imagine how painful that must have been.

#prayersup  ...and I mean that, nevermind losing the ability to play the game he loves but to the point he could lose his leg is crazy! Really hope Miller turns out ok.

Agreed. I don’t even think it’s that funny.

This has nothing to with being offended; that card is old. It’s just not funny. I guess we need to get a quadriplegic to instagram post himself “satirizing” a paraplegic

It's satire.

No, actually it’s not. Here’s the definition of satire:

the use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues.

You mind pointing out what is stupid or bad about Gordon breaking his leg, or what issue is being criticized???

I hate when people do this. Typical mind state of the average fan in sports and entertainment. You've got money, i can treat you however!

Money doesn't determine morality.

It’s offensive. Those who argue otherwise have never been injured and has no leg up in this discussion.

So it's okay to dress up as a murderer for Halloween but not for a paraplegic to dress up as an injured NBA player?

No, that doesn't give him the right to make fun Gordon's entire season getting ruined, and possibly his career. Look, I get it, we all feel bad for the guy without a leg and it's always good to put things in perspective, but come on.

Hayward's wife expressed her disgust with costumes like this one on Instagram yesterday.

Ummm....We actually have the right to make fun of anyone we'd like at any time. We just have to realize that there may be consequences.

Personally I have no problem with a guy missing a leg having a little fun for Halloween. Hayward may care he may not. If I was Hayward, I'd be more worried about the first time he goes back to play a game in Utah.

Yes, he has a right legally to make fun of whoever he wants.

Doesn't mean it's not in poor taste, amputee or not.
