Think its time to leave the forum.
Been at treat mostly!
Dude don't leave you've done nothing wrong. Keep posting and don't let the posts of one person distract you.
I will monitor the forum and find the conversations interesting obviously I have a different bias on politics than likely 95% of the posters. I will be heading to London on Wednesday evening and be in Johannesburg SA on Friday and will be in Africa for a month visiting Mozambique and Zambia as well. My wife and I are looking forward to the trip especially with a good friend who will be our guide. We both want to see the good and bad in South Africa and will be going to the townships where she grew up. She is a out standing lady who made a life for herself graduating from Columbia and lived in USA, China and now back in South Africa trying to make a difference. I'm at a age that I want to do some bucket list things and always broaden my understanding of the world.
The indictments today are the 1st step Manafort & Gates are the 1st. steps in unlocking the puzzle and frankly I wouldn't be surprised if Stone is the next to be charged. But this is just one of several streams that Mueller is after. Obviously Manafort has connection to both Donald Trump Jr. and Kushner and the Russian meeting. The one key connection in that who is rarely mentioned is the translator who was hired by the Russian lawyer. If Manafort goes for a plea bargain this translator can confirm his testimony. Why I think Stone is next is that he had the direct connection to the hackers and may have been coordinating the dumping of Clinton e-mails. Both Manafort & Gates can be also charged with State charges which mitigates any attempt at a pardon by Trump.
But the real bullet is not the big names but the guilty plea of George Papadopoulos and a likely connection to Lewandowski and others in the Trump campaign. It was released at the same time as Manafort & Gates on purpose so the big names overshadow what is a direct tie to collusion in the Trump campaign.
I also firmly believe that both Donald Jr. and Ivanka are being investigated on the Trump Soho deal again in NYS.
Will look at site not sure if I will post.
have a great trip. safe travels. your posts here on the politics board are truly insightful. i think we all learn from them.
But you do have to understand that this is a politics board and the brand of politics you preach leans very socialists and you clearly have a globalists agenda. nothing wrong with any of that. this is politics board and a good place for you to express yourself. some of us may have a more nationalists (USA centric) agenda and be more concerned about people here at home. nothing wrong with either point of view. hope you understand that we just see some things differently.
both of us clearly would like to live in a better world where government makes it easier on everyday folks to pursue their own version of happiness.
my particular push is for the middle class.
imo, the middle class is the greatest and most important group of human beings because:1. they get up everyday and go to work
2. to pay their own bills
3. dont want handouts
4. make their beds, clean their cars, mow their lawns, pay their taxes, etc
the middle class does these things almost blindly because:
1. they truly believe in community.
2. they believe in helping each other
3. they believe the world is a better place when we work together to find common ground
the middle class has some issues or drawbacks in that:
1. they may likely be not that "smart"
2. in that they easily and sometimes blindly "follow the crowd," so as to fit in. so they are
3. susceptible to bull like organized religion in the hopes to find common ground although the pretense is a good thing sometimes things like organized religion are not good.
but the bottom line? the working class wakes up, goes to work, and pays their bills. with that backbone any type of society can work. you can work with that.
Its only when everyone wants to be the ruling class do we have strife and conflict or when no one wants to work do societies collapse and fail.
the bottom BOTTOM LINE? The working class is the most important group in any society, imo. as somebody has to do the actual work. they should be protected and appeased most in any government policy. Democrats used to be the party for the working class. For unions. The goal was to convert the lower class to working class and give working class folks a fair opportunity to become upper class. that used to be a real thing in this country and not that long ago. Seems like democrats dont really want legislation to keep those pathways open to me. and elitists either socially (yet still working class which is odd to me actual economic elitist have come to represent the democrats and vice versa.
like i said, its a full rebuild.
