(Start Amir!)

For the record, Embiid is 2nd in the NBA in post ups per game.

He is a TO machine and I hate it, that he is shooting threes all the time. Brett Brown do your job.

sorry, don't even know what that stat means. is that % touches in the paint? points scored? shots attempted? just glancing at that same chart, going by various parameters he could also be 5th, 7th, 12th, etc., and behind folks like Zack Randolph. let me know when he's an absolute beast. (i might be dreaming, but i thought i heard him complaining after the Boston game about not getting fed enough down low. not the first time we've heard this the past few years.)

The column that I linked to was times per game that a possession ends with a player posting up. The % is the the percentage of overall possessions that player uses that end in a post up. If you remove the small sample size guys Embiid posts up a higher percentage of the time than everyone in the league but Dwight, Randolph, Monroe and Marc Gasol. All guys who post up a lot.

The Boston game was over a week ago. I'm betting in the week since Embiid has posted up more times than anyone in the NBA.

If you think he should post up even more, fine, but you're acting like he's Dirk or something.

seriously, when he's standing out on the 3 point line, pump faking...he's as Dirk as he can be. and given his hx, i just hate how much he drives from there. (don't get me wrong. slipping out there to hit some longballs is very cool, and has to effect the defense. but with his size and athleticism advantage, even if he can't be Wilt, he surely can be Moses down low. plus maybe a little Kareem. and he says it was tapes of the Dream in action that got him interested in the game.)

Just sit him next game at Houston. Let the results show if the sixers need Embiid or not. He needs to rest his hand even though it’s report he intends to play.

So sit him. Rest him. If sixers get blown out like they were in Toronto. Than they realize how valuable Embiid is.

Hasn't that already been shown?

Embiid is still a rookie in reality, let him learn as he goes. He had four assists and five TO’s, so did Lonzo the same night, but look at the rest of their impact. Trial and error, he will figure it out, and is already a force of nature on D.

Yeah, we have more data available than one game without him could provide, it won’t change anything. Nor should it.

They gave him $150 million like 10 days ago. I think they know how valuable he is.

His hand is just bruised. If it doesn't affect his shooting motion then they should just let him play.

so embiid has a bruised hand? i wonder if it was from getting his hand caught in the net after a vicious dunk. i specifically remember seeing it happen in real time and i winced, and i hoped his hand was ok after that

What are we playing like with Simmons on the court? How many win team does Simmons provide?

Mostly nuertal. -6.2 on -7 off.

Though the numbers are much better with the actual centers out there with him. +9 with Amir, -2.4 with Embiid. Have been pretty bad with Dario and Okafor.

Really everything out of whack with our point differential can be pointed to the Raptors game. Basically an even point differential in the other 5 games. Few enough games that one game can do that.

Too early to make any sort of conclusions. The big key to this season is how the team plays without Embiid though.

Biid's durability has been a very pleasant surprise

I raised this issue a while back. Ben needs to play high impact defense to match embiid's impact.

*knocks on wood*

He hits the deck a lot still, but his landings on his feet haven’t been so awkward this year so far.

I think there was one dunk where he landed awkwardly this year, forgot which game

Anyway, looks like they tweaked his game and Im ok with it. I just hope he be careful and be a lot less reckless for these reg season games

Oh.. And Biid's passing was superb with tonight's rox game. Ben would be a great player for back door plays.

We need to add more "Horns" sets with him and Simmons. Think they connected on 2 of them tonight.

The 2 of them have played all of 6 games together. I have a feeling once they gain more chemistry with each other, things could get SCARY for those 2.
