As a Bears fan and unbiased observer, I feel like this is a great deal for both teams. The 49er pick may as well be a late 1st, and from an outside perspective the Pats overvalued Jimmy. I think they got a great asset for him. The 49ers get a QB, which they desperately need.

Pats could've got the Browns first I think. SMH

Pats get a second rounder for a guy who was never, ever going to be the QB. Think about that. Brady is
Playing at least another 3 years anyhow.

Not a fan. Brady isn't going to last forever.

dafuq

I don't plan on trees landing on my house either but I have insurance. Jimmy looked like a keeper in a league starved for them.

Who's our backup now?

I don't mind that we traded him. He never struck me as the caliber of QB (or game manager) that would take your team to the promised land.

Can we please pick up Kaepernick as our backup? It would be such a Belichick move.

What is the rules for letting Jimmy walk in free agency? Is it a 3rd round compensatory pick?

Seems pretty dumb to let Jimmy G go now for just a second. That's the bare min price, and you could of had this on draft night from 8 different teams next year.

Especially with Brady being 40 and still getting lite up like a Christmas tree.

If this ended up being for an established pass rusher, or something to help our front seven to win now that would make more sense.

Since we did this, we should have kept Brissett for sure

Brissett has been gone.

We only have ONE QB now.
Which is weird AF.

Good for the kid, has a chance to proove himself. Bad for the Pats, they'll need a reliable backup QB now. They should go after Kaepernick.

Wanted the Redskins to trade their first for Jimmy G so I could root for him near home. Pats could have definitely gotten some first rounder for him. They should have let Ainge be on the phone with these teams.

I'm a bears fan and we over payed for ours it's like San Fran duped us for Jimmy (plus they have 2 of our past qb's. ) I need the bears gm to step down its em-bear-acing. Especially how the celtics front office is a beast
