He cannot even pronounce Mudiay correctly. I think we need an update from Traxxe

Its funny how all the conjecture is that Sarver is the ultimate unreasonable person that McD is presenting these offers to Sarver who is rejecting them. The is McD's baby. I have no doubt that it is McD who is rejecting any offers. We get this whining "How can you be asking for soooooooo much!?? You should be giving him to us at a discount because we NEEEEEEEED him and he has devalued himself!!!!"

I love the whining and complaining about trading Bledsoe

He is Enes Kanter but with lesser rebounding but twice the shot blocking abilities....

If Okafor were that good he would play at least a backup role.
Embiid can not play more than 25 mpg, so Okafor could have an important role on the team.

The Sixers want to win...do you think that Brett Brown does not know who needs to play to try to win games?

Really hard to play a center who doesn't protect the rim that well or can switch on pick and rolls, who's not a good rebounder and doesn't stretch the floor or pass that well. That combination of lack of skills makes it really to be a plus player, even if you're a great post scorer.

According to espn's RPM and b-ref's BPM, Okafor is bad defensively but he's far worse offensively.

Advanced stats tell me Devin Booker, TJ Warren and Dragan Bender all suck ass too.

Okafor averaged 17.5/7 as a 19/20 year old rookie. He can probably be had for super cheap. Why not take a chance on him and see if he's improved? In theory, a duo of him and Len is really nice to move forward with. Let's take that chance.

Advanced stats are crap.

I watch 76er games and Okafor looks good when he gets minutes. Before Embiid and Simmons got there, when they actually went to Okafor he delivered 17ppg as a rookie 20 year old is not a slouch or fluke. Now, he is there for the sake of having a body. Its like Nurkic... you would have turned him away too because he was rotting in Denver... now that he has a role in Blazers, he is motivated and killing it. Okafor is the same... he knows he has no future in 76ers and he has been going through the motions... but put him on a team that wants him to thrive and he will deliver.

Again, he is a good shot blocker 6'11 with massive wingspan and can score inside at an elite level.

You act like Suns will trade a lot for him.... he can be had for a later first rounder it seems... or for a role player.

Or, pretty soon, you can pick him up off waivers! :)

Funny to see Marcus's "Free Bledsoe" tweet, when neither him or his brother have played any games yet this season.

Wont be till next year. They arnt cutting him, just didnt pick up his rookie contract team option.

I feel that this issue goes well beyond Jah supposedly not being able to play. Maybe frustration with the team due to them drafting 3 top 5 C's in 3 years in a row. I do agree that when he gets time he produces (On Offense and rebounding). I watched quite a bit of videos with him working out over the offseason and the top thing he was working on was his defense. He was really making that a point, saying that his offensive game is there and just really needed to hone in on becoming a better defender, and the one game i watched of Philly's this season, he played and actually looked good on defense. There just has to be more to this story that we are missing.

For his first 2 seasons he had a defensive rating of 110. Not good, but ive seen worse. This season he has it down to 105, which is a big leap, but also a small sample size considering Philly has only played him in one game (Len has a 112 so far this season).

Why was not one team in the league willing to take Okafor for free???

That says something. What do we not know about?

Is he a boozer?

I mean...no way ... NO WAY a team is not willing to give up at least a second round pick for this dude!

If the Sixers have not picked up his option, they clearly intend on letting him walk. That means that they did not even get any "free" offers. They would either have had to take back unwanted salary or give up assets to move him. Yikes.

There is more going on here than we know.

Return to Phoenix Suns
