Wait wait lol can we show we're actually good under Triano, keep it a secret, competitively lose every game by 1 or 2, get a top draft pick, trade for another one with the assets we accumulated.

Draft 2 of Doncic/Bagley/Ayton Ideally maybe Doncic at PG and Ayton at C

THEN wreck the league in 2020-2030 when the Warriors hit luxury tax issues lol

We need another young stud in the draft I don't want us to get a high lotto pick this year haha!

in all seriousness this team is showing alot of improvement under Triano.

I wouldnt be surprised if Dragan emerges as a RPM darling this season.

That's fantastic. Thanks for sharing.

So are we 10th best defence based on the points per possession metric?

Early days sure, but do you think Triano would throw his hat in the ring for the permanent gig as coach?

I still got love for PJ, and he still got love for his little bros. He had to leave to get his 30 mil payday but his heart will be here forever, he will retire in az for sure.

Don't see why he wouldn't. He's been away from the head coaching gig for a few years now and has been in the trenches and I think this is a great opportunity to show what he can do with the experienced he's gained since his time in Toronto. If we finish around .500 that would be considered a significant success from a team that's "improved" by 1 game from 2015 to 2016.

I think Triano doesn't like to be head coach. I heard or read something like that. He would prefer being assistant coach.

No you're right, I just did a bit of research.

And while general manager Ryan McDonough said he hopes it’s Triano as head coach past 2017-18, Triano sounded reluctant.

“We’ll see how it goes,” he said. “But I’m going to embrace this 100 percent and dive into like I have everything else in my career.”

It was Watson who reached out to Triano in the summer of 2016, and because it was Watson, who he had a previous relationship with, that Triano agreed to become Watson’s associate head coach.

“I left a great situation in Portland,” Triano said.
