Okafor?

Post#1 » by Radu_Hornets » Wed Nov 1, 2017 11:16 am

Heard that Okafor is trying to sign a buyout with the Sixers.

Would we have the possibility to give him 15 min ? I always liked him.

The thing Okafor needs the most is playing time. We can't give that to him unfortunately, so he'd be better off finding a team that can.

Apparently Okafor is so lost on defense still he is unplayable. Like the other team is guaranteed to score a bucket if he is on the floor. And on offense he is a black hole.

He can't really complain about playing time if he is indeed that terrible.

Portis would be a more interesting target, especially considering the 'after Howard' (i mean toughness in the paint, i know he is a pf, but he could be a pretty nice duo with Cody defensively). The big question being what would the bulls ask for him. Even with all the mess with Mirotic, i would think he was rated much higher by his organization.

I have no problem rolling the dice on Okafor generally, think he wouldn't be any worse than JOB with WAY higher upside, but I'm not willing to go into the tax so if he wanted to come here we'd need some financial tomfoolery to do it.

No use for him here and I don't think he is disciplined enough to warrant a roster spot even if one was available.

I think Okafor can still turn it around in the right situation, but we're not that situation.

Dwight/Zeller are both too good to let him have big minutes at C. Okafor needs to go to a team who needs offense and has a weak C rotation.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Nets take a swing at another reclamation project.

yeah the only position I really want to upgrade at the moment is backup point guard.
although Monk has been doing an ok job.
