If Lebron was on the Nets (who are not making the playoffs) would they trade him?

If I knew he was leaving as a free agent at the end of the year. Yes I would. But there is the hometown thing. So maybe that is a factor. Obviously, I am not a Cavs fan, so my opinion doesn't matter much.
He could bring a rebuilding haul right now. But its way to early.

no owner would ever agree to trading an all time great player even if he didn't have a no trade clause which he does.
I really don't know wtf would make anyone think despite the struggles of this roster to get motivated ,that they don't have the capability of being a contender still. There is virtually 0 possibility Altman or Gilbert would ever entertain the idea even if Lebron said he was leaving next summer right now. They would do it if he demanded a trade, but he won't.
Oh and yes he is not leaving next summer, unless the org bails on him and trades away players for draft picks and rookie scale deals rendering us a non contender over the next few seasons.

That is a good effort. The Suns just are not interested in Reggie Jackson at all. Not sure if they want Drummond and his HUGE contract either.

Here's some trade idea someone posted.
Cavs are in desperate need of a rim protector and a 3&D guy on the wing. Trade gurus is there a trade to be made built around the following players? The trade below allows the Cavs to trim long term salary, get younger and guys that better fit with their win now mode. Bulls take on 2 bad long term contracts while essentially buying a top 10 pick.
Bulls In
Shumpert
JR Smith
Nets Picl
Cavs In
RoLo
Holliday
Niko
