I do think this season will be more like 2015 than 2016 & 17. It's going to take a while to find the right rotations. We may even need a trade if players like JR & TT don't step up and guys like Shump don't start playing within their games.

Yeah I'm done for now they're a lot farther off than I thought they should be , even expecting some of these lineup changes and position swapping.
It's early ,but Lue needs to be playing Osman & to a lesser extent Zizic during his "experimental line up juggling" if for no other reason than to get them exposure

I was at the Magic game at the Q and I know Orlando has improved, but the Cavs just looked dreadful. It seemed as if nobody got back on defense and Orlando got tons of great looks. Other Cavs fans said they weren’t so concerned, but unless Isaiah Thomas and the Cavs have the perfect chemistry I don’t really see Cleveland doing particularly well in the postseason
I know it is still early and we have a small sample size, but wow that Magic game was a real eye opener.

That would be cool if the Cavaliers become the worst regular season team (record wise) to go on and win the NBA Championship.
If the Playoffs were to start today the Cavaliers would be an 8th seed that would take on the #1 seed Magic.

7 games in and they had a team meeting. TT with 1 point and no boards last game. JR playing like total dog ch!t. Love being told by Lebron in the pre season that he was going to play C. Anybody think they are salty about not starting and being replaced?
I have never heard of a team needing a clearing the air meeting 7 games in. Maybe Kyrie wasn't the only one tired of Lebron's act?

TT & Kyrie really liked playing together so who knows what TT is thinking. But, TT & JR are paid very well. If your hustle guys aren't hustling, that's on them. Shump looks like he's playing for his next contract and trying to establish he's a two-way player (he's not).
LBJ's on the court for a lot of minutes but only plays hard for half of them. Lue doesn't really seem to have control over anything. We're losing to bad teams. I think this team's window is closed tbh.

I know it looks bad, but I don't agree with that, well at least not exactly;
Altman is probably seriously working on a deal or deals of some players way before the deadline that are slumping if it continues through November not including the obvious salary dumps ,but probably not for younger players with an eye to the future as the immediate uptick would be at that point insignificant, only beneficial after this season & the odds of Lebron staying would decrease,so Altman would only make a deal for other veteran players to patch the wounds.
Of course Lue will probably end up on the hot seat if Lebron gets disgruntled with him but unlikely for any other reason.
Seeing this roster survive a minor deadline blowup without a coaching change is reasonable but a major blowup and a new coach would not likely equate to still being a contender. What is more likely is it would practically guarantee Lebron leaves as the org has committed to the future not the present if Altman trades for younger upside players and abandons the hope of a return to the finals this season,(doubtful) unfortunately that might be exactly what needs to be done without the current roster able to play with more fire than they have shown. I think it is repairable as is, with only minor changes but the concern is how long will it take before Altman has had enough and then we are back to square one and have to do this all over again mid way through the season.

This team looks cashed out to me. Our role players are destroying their trade value. Honestly the only internal improvement I see is that Love, and possibly JR, could start hitting their threes (both of them are shooting well below their career averages). I just don't see a realistic trade that fixes what's wrong with this team. Trading away future assets would be very, very stupid. Given our cap situation, we're not in a position to bring in a difference maker this summer.
If there isn't considerable improvement by December 15th, I think you go to LBJ and ask him if he's open to trade. Follow it up with trades of Love, Crowder & IT. At least start the rebuild with two lottery picks this summer as well as whatever else you can get by selling off the players who still have value. But LBJ's not coming back to a team that's not a contender.

I agree with everything above. I would not want to move any future assets as I believe Lebron will likely leave after the season. And, I'm not upset with that.
Imo he is clearly not the best player in the game anymore and is in decline. He is still a great player, and I know he is still getting back from the ankle injury but I cant see a long term max contract for him from a performance standpoint. I think he can carry a team for a series but not for an entire season anymore, and the supporting cast we have isn't proving capable at this point to win consistently without Lebron carrying them.
As much as I appreciate him coming back and ending the title drought in Cleveland I think a total rebuild is going to be necessary. The team is old for the most part and Lue isn't interested in playing the younger players at all at this point.

If this is still going on in December, I'd seriously ask him if he'd be okay getting traded with Wade to the Wizards. Try to get Porter & Oubre back for him. Then sell off Love, Crowder & It.

If I was Washington I wouldnt trade porter for nets pick. Don't think it's debatable either when you consider how it'll annoy wall and the teams ability to compete short term.

No one is talking about trading the Nets pick at this point. This team isn't close to contending.

Our 3 point defense is worst I've seen and guards having career nights every game. This team is poo.

Lue's post game presser was garbage. You can't have LBJ essentially tanking with zero effort on box outs and defensive rotations, in front of the home town crowd, and just say nothing. If I'm getting fired, I'm getting fired for calling people out.

Maybe Lebron is looking for a couple weeks off so the team can make trades and he doesn't have to deal with the fallout like he did his first year he was back here. I (and most of you as well I'm sure) sit on my couch and can see every time he doesn't boxout, rotate on D, close out on his guy after he leaves him wide open, and then points fingers and chastises his teammates when they don't cover for his mistakes, and worse when they do try to cover for him and their guy is left open and hits the shot he bitches at them for that.
