I mean if they start like 5-13 or something I think they might legitimately think about doing something drastic. It might be something more like Love and the Brooklyn pick for Cousins if the Pelicans are playing really poorly though.
I still think if they trade the pick they will attach top 5 protection to it. Without a doubt if it was for Bledsoe.
The top of the East isn't a big deal because they are still talented enough to get to the Finals, it's all about competitiveness. They have their 1st game against GSW on Xmas day then they have another game in late Jan. I think it would be telling how competitive they would be as whether they are looking to do something drastic. If that Brooklyn pick isn't looking like top 5, then they could put it on the table
