No longer do other guys have to worry about what happens if a guy gets by them. No longer do guys have to worry about who is going to get a rebound. For the past few years, no one has come near to the monster that Dwight is. Other players fear him for good reason. Yeah he may miss a few free throws or do some off the wall stuff, but he is our beast.

I think this has been a significant key for us so far this season. Last year it seemed every team hit us with an air raid of threes because our guys had to be weary closing out too hard. We didn't have that enforcer in the paint that could clean up the back end. This season though it looks as if our guys are able to close out much more aggressively on shooters because they're confident in Dwight's ability to control the paint on defense if their man gets past them. Hopefully we're able to build more chemistry and maintain this level of play.

A good start to the season would be nice for a change as well. We still have a long ways to go before the all star break, but in 2014 when we made the playoffs we were 23-30 at the break. In 2016 we were 27-26 at the break. Both of those seasons we started off in a hole and had to scratch and claw our way out of it. It would be a real pleasure to start the season off fast and build upon that instead of having to play catch up the second half of the season.
