My bad, for some reasons 2017 I counted as this season too.

Monta, Seraphin, Stuckey, and Allen. four players out of last year's 15 are out of the Association. that's an incredible percentage of the roster that no one wanted. kind makes it easy to see why PG didn't see us headed in the right direction under Bird.

Monta Ellis is awful.

He should be the last pick at a YMCA pickup game.

I am shocked that Seraphin is not on a team though. I'd take him over Al Jefferson right now.

Seraphin is in Europe, in Barcelona... and he has good season... he is one of the best centres in euroleague...

Very likely he is just telling interested teams that he is waiting to see which team is a contender and which not. :)

I mean, if he had signed with the Cavs or Spurs, he should feel like the dissapointed one right now, not the team

But yes, nobody picked up Christmas, Whittington, Niang only temporarily, Budinger, Lawson, Jordan Hill, Rudez, Sloan, Copeland got picked up by 1 other team at best and then dissapeared out of the league. Bird did make many mistakes, holding on to Paul George too long being one of them.

If we can notice the lack of leadership and the lack of chemistry in the past 2 years, how can he not when he is so close on it?

Thank God the Thunder were a bit desperate trying to keep Westbrook in OKC because else they might have offered us picks in stead of their rough diamants.

Nah, I'm happy it's Kevin's turn.

I liked Jordan Hill a lot and think he probably deserved more playing time than he got after he left the Pacers. And Sloan was a rotation guard, but it was on the Nets so I'm not sure how much that counts.

I agree with your main point though. Every team has some third stringers that probably aren't going to stick around the league much long-term, but some of Larry's moves near the end there were real head-scratchers.

Seraphin actually WANTED to go back to Europe to play, so he wasn't going to be signing in the NBA anyway. Stuckey - just too many injuries. I wonder if that scared off some teams? Monta's age and mileage may be catching up with him. Allen? I don't really know why a team wouldn't want him to fill out their bench or be a "break in case of emergency" type of player. But, there are probably a number of younger/cheaper players to fill the same role that were available to teams.

Lavoy Allen's position kind of disappeared from the NBA. He could play a little bit of 5, but he was really an old school power forward. How many old school power forwards are even left?

Seraphin doesn't belong to that list. He chose to go to Barcelona because he wanted to play a lot. Here's an interesting article -> http://hoopshype.com/2017/08/01/kevin-seraphin-waived-by-pacers-could-have-barcelona-interest/

Seraphin and Barcelona had mutual interest in the summer of 2016 as well.
