Re: Season Speculation, Trade Ideas & Discussion Pt. 2
I think McD is more likely to wait til Dec. 15th when more players are able to be traded. Also, an inury to a key player on a contender might open the door a little more. (cough) Cavs (cough)
Maybe Philly can ship us Redick + Okafor for Bledsoe + Chandler?
Redick can't be traded til Dec 15th and is basically an expiring since he is on a 1 year deal. He would be a nice backup for Booker and can play some mins at PG if needed. Also isn't really working out the well in Philly thus far. Chandler can mentor Embiid while we get Okafor, seems like a win for both sides. Also clears a ton of cap for us for this upcoming offseason.

they're not mutually exclusive at all
Woj says Pistons are offering Reggie for Bledsoe but McD wants to find a 3rd team to take Reggie
Gambo says that there's no possible Reggie to Phoenix move

Don't they agree with each other? Jackson not coming here. 3-way trade possible, just Gambo says he 'highly doubts' it happens.

Does it mean Sarver / McD has flatout rejected the offer already

16/6/4 (on 50% shooting) in 30 minutes for the past 5 games.
Look at the comparison between him (This season) and Bledsoe (Last season): http://bkref.com/tiny/DGAfX
The numbers look awfully similar PER36, with Jackson also showing as the better Defender (107 vs 112) and offensive threat (117 vs 111). And the was considered one of Bledsoes best seasons too!
IDK, if it meant we would also get Drummond (Bledsoe/Chandler/JonesJr for Drummond/Jackson), i would do it.
I like Reggie Jackson as a player, but I don't think he is a good fit here next to Booker, TJ and Jackson.
These three players need to be our scorers (Jackson in the next future) and our PGs need to feed them. That's why I love Ulis coming from the bench and we need to get a defensive/passing PG to start next to Booker and TJ.
I don't like Reggie Jackson as a player. Have you all not watched Detroit? If you hate dribble-happy chucking PGs then wait until you get a load of Jackson. Just yesterday the entire NBA TV crew was on him for his ridiculous turnovers and refusal to pass the ball on even 3 on 1 fast breaks.

Just awful. That is basically Bledsoe to unload Chandler. The team is still rebuilding, so a 1 year rental has no real value other than hurting our draft position. Okafor is about to be waived or could be had for a 2nd rounder. I would rather trade Bled for a 1st and suck up Chandler's remaining 2 years.

Kennard makes sense, Stanimal makes some sense, 1st makes sense, or maybe Drummond if we add Chandler. I don't see any other players on Detroit that make sense for a rebuild, and even with Drummond at his salary it may not be desirable. It would open up the draft a bit if we got Drummond though.

Totally agree with your first statement...the rest? Meh...but yes, if McD waits until 15 December it does a lot of things in our favor, IMO.
1) It gives GMs 'time' to forget a little bit how much of a baby Bledsoe's been.
2) It opens up a ton more options for players to be traded (as does 15 Nov, but 15 Dec is even more, of course, and if he can hold out until January, even better still)
3) It allows more time for 'injuries' to happen to other teams; an injury to one PG on one team on Dec 4th, for example, motivates that team to trade for EB. However an injury on Dec 14th to another team's PG now sets the stage for a bidding war, but oh wait, team #1, who's patiently waited for almost 2 months until their players were trade-able, now have 2 players available on Dec 15th to trade, that McD has had a 'secret pending' agreement with, is in play now as well. Oh me, oh my, what to do, what to do????

Of course, this all goes out the window if the rumor about Detroit is true, and McD decides to be smart and recognize he has a 4-4 team that could use a starting PG that could put them over the edge.
I know, I know, how ever will we compete with the undefeated Warriors of Golden State? Why should we even try? What's that you say? They've lost 3 games already, we are only 1 game back from them, and they currently own the 3rd worst pts/gm D in the league (in front of us at #2, of course

That can't be; this was the Warriors #timeline, not ours. Must be the Cavs then...oh...nvm

Pretty funny how some of you were just having this debate about how Teams/FO's look to players league wide, and all of a sudden Dudley tweets this in response to IT's tweet.

What in the world makes you think Reggie Jackson is a starting PG that could put anyone over the edge? He is worse than Mike James today. He is paid more than Bledsoe. I am dead serious here. He is everything fans on here have complained about for the past decade and at the highest price tag as of yet, and somehow because people don't watch Detroit much they are trying to talk themselves into him. Bledsoe is much better than him. I'd rather just keep Bled if it came down to that.

Re: Season Speculation, Trade Ideas & Discussion Pt. 2
Interesting, Pelicans were going to be the 3rd team in our 3-way. Its now DEAD.
Why the hell would they want Jackson? I mean is Holiday and Rondo not enough to handle their PG needs?

We will have the opportunity to sign him in the off season. McD drafted him when he was with Boston.

I like Bradley a lot and have advocated pairing him with Booker in the past. He's going to cost you this Summer though, and you don't want Drummond's salary when it does. Drummond's deal runs through '21 at $27M a year. It's bonkers.
I like Bradley's defense, but isnt he more of a two?
That's exactly what you want. Bradley has shown he can be a casual PG/ball handler but going forward Booker is going to be that guy for us so Bradley who can also hit the 3, plays elite defense, can score, can pass and has shown he doesn't mind deferring, to me he's the perfect guy next to Booker.
The only thing is that he will cost us because he's due for a new deal and I've always been against getting players on the last year of their deal. Too many unknowns
