Do you like enjoying watching the ping pong balls bounce for the draft order also?

Thibs is a dumbass for trading him away. 5 million extra for a worse and older version of RR. Jazz signed Thabo Sefolosha for that money.

Don't forget what we could have done with $40 in cap space too.

Fun to watch, but would they have won games? History says no.

No one would ever sign here. History says that as well. People here are acting like a legit player would ever sign with the Wolves. Kevin Martin was the last "legit" player who ever signed here. Lol

Not sure where the $40 million number is coming from. We didn't get there until after the Rubio deal. So how do we keep Rubio and keep the $40 million?

Exactly.. people have weird perceptions about this team sometimes

- sometimes you hear thibs strapped the team down financially with the deals of Teague, Taj and Jamal

- other times you hear thibs mortgaged the future by trading away Kris Dunn, Zach Levine and what lrobabtl would have been Markenen

Not quite sure what people are thinking half the time tbh lol.

Teague is not a worse "version" of Rubio. They are so different in their approach to the game in general. Teague fits this team better, we need his shooting threat to keep other options open. It's easy to make the argument that Ricky is shooting well if you're boxscore surfing but you have to take into account the coverage.

That said I love what he's doing in Utah, I've watched all of their games and am rooting for them. They have to be the easiest team to root for in basketball; they play a team game with great defense and were spurned by a star player in the off-season. Plus Joe Ingles!

Rubio is showing his versatility by switching into the role that they need him to play and he has adjusted much faster than Teague. But they are in no way the same "version" of NBA player.

I love the Butler trade. There is no way a team with Lavine and Wiggins together would be sucessful ever, no way. I talked about this problem for 2 years.

But after the Ricky trade i expected two things... Or we sign a big time PG, a clear uppgrade to Ricky Rubio (I'm talking mostly about Lowry) or we make a run for a big time PF (And there, i'm talking about Millsap for example) and let Jimmy be the PG for this team with some good role players, Thabo, Simmons, etc etc

14M for Taj
19M for Teague

Is just crazy, Taj and Teague are not that bad at all, but they got overpaid by a lot. I'm pissed because we could have done so much better after the Rubio trade.

I have no doubts we won that trade. I’m just not a believer in Wiggins though. I think I would have moved him with filler (Dieng?) for Butler if possible, rather then give him a max deal. We would have had massive cap room and much better shooting. But that’s just me. I hope I’m wrong and Wiggins turns into a superstar, which is still possible obviously.

Yeah, 40 assumes we could have shipped away Cole (not likely it seems). 32-34 would be the more accurate number.

I don't think we could reasonably afford Millsap or Lowry.

lmao all the complaining that happens about Teague and Taj, obviously nobody has looked at Kyle Lowry or Paul Millsaps stars as of recent.

Only one assist from Rubio last night...

In all seriousness though, that's probably the best game scoring wise he's had in his career. It sucks seeing him do it for another team, but I do also think Jeff Teague is the better fit in Minny.

My favorite was a quote on a Jazz board "So this new Rubio guy is an elite scorer but i think we need to find a pass first point guard."

Bad, bad game for Rubio. I'm sure the same polarizing discussions that happened here for years will eventually take over the Jazz boards lol
