yeah. 2 trying to drive on Jenkins, but why? don't have the speed advantage, a bigger player dribbling into a smaller player is always going to go poorly.

Not sure why Real didn't have him post up and clearout. use the size + passing ability if Khimki help.

The rest of the team was making TO's very liberally as well. So it's more to it than just Doncic. Either bad strategy by Real, good strategy by Khimki, or both. They committed 7 turnovers in last 6 minutes and 28 seconds.

yeah the entire team has not been good but I was mainly focusing on what Doncic could do better, given this thread

now Doncic is posting up Markovic, got an open 3PTA for Rudy, then OREB, then another paint shot + more OREB. that's how you take advantage of a size mismatch

By some reports, he had flu during last few days, including yesterday. Not sure if that's an attempt at justification for mediocre performance, but could be plausible.

I mean, PIR of 18 (second best behind Shved's 21) isn't really that bad, but we got spoiled by the first 4 games :)

The turnovers were the only thing completely unnecessary, but I understand why he got them. He wanted to force things a bit too much trying to save the game.

Watched the game and the whole game I was feeling "something's off.." - there was no energy from him, he played less and made uncharacteristic mistakes. This flue would actually make sense and explain that.

Flu reports were out before the game. I also thought he doesnt have the usual energy, especially in the second half his energy level dropped. When sitting on the bench, he was wrapped in towels and I wouldnt be surprised if he misses the ACB game tomorrow.

It's annoying that the whole remainder of the team wasn't really on par. Maybe Ayon, but he got tired at the end and made crucial mistakes.

So these tough games are actually entirely dependent on Luka's performance.

Well, as much as I enjoy watching Luka play I really hope Laso decides to let him rest and get over the flu during the weekend. Real should not really need him in ACB tomorrow, he is much more needed in Euroleague. They play Maccabi in Tel Aviv and they have very little chance if Doncic cant be his usual self.

He was pretty bad by his standards yesterday but with him off the floor, Real was even worse. They are too dependent on him for my taste...

Fits like a glove in Sacramento hopefully if we don’t get number 1 Vlade is willing to trade Hield/ top 3 pick to go to 1.

Fox-Bogdan-Doncic is very promising

Didnt watch the game, but his stats were fine, 30 PIR is obviously not sustainanable

PIR is such a stupid stat. It's ridiculous that EuroLeague is still using it to determine the value and performance of players.

The Kings will be in a good position on draft night, even if they decide to move back in the draft. This draft will have a good amount of small forwards In the lottery.

No offense, but I hope he doesn't go there. I know there's a lot of optimism among the fans, but I don't see Kings doing any serious damage with their core in the future. Worse, I think they will be in a persistent limbo, not bad enough for top draft picks and not good enough to be a contender. Not long ago I was reading fans' predictions how they see current Kings players developing into their prime and I was thinking they must be smoking something really good. Kings basically have 6 future AS players on their roster and 3 HOFs. :)

I had the Knicks as the perfect destination for Doncic, but I'm afraid that they aren't bad enough to get him.

Another great situation would be with the Bulls. Markkanen is the real deal and like Porzingis, he also looks like a great fit with Doncic. The Bulls have had a love affair with Euros since early 90s, they would have no problems making them the face of the franchise.

It would be a lot of fun, and we could really do with the passing, but 2 fit issues arise for me - the other core piece going forward is LaVine, and that would mean 3 non-plus defender (not a great base for strong team defense) and also Doncic would have to play the 3 next to LaVine, which he probably could do, but there's a debate he's probably more suited to the 2 spot.

Combine that with a lot of wings at the top of the '19 draft and my eyes are set on Ayton/Bagley/Bamba if they can put it together.

Doncic would make us super fun offensively and if he's BPA you obviously take him anyway, but I would dispute that it's the perfect fit. It's probably the best destination for him to come in and play 'his' game though, because we don't really have a PG at this point.

It's probably a battle between Kings, Hawks and the Bulls to draft him.
