If Booker stays with us we are fine. I'd panic if he jumps ship but only untill then, and guess what? His stats since the firing and benching tell me it was the right call...players, especially young ones WILL follow book.

I got you, I think your missing my point though. I think you also missed were I called it wishful thinking?

Eric Bledsoe for Mundiay, a bad cotract and a 1st roud pick (obviously protected).

Questio: I didt make this rumor up, do you thik this is horrificm Borderlie horrific? Or just bad?

Btw, i would have take a flier o Mundiay eve before his recet play!

Here's my view of the trade. First, with Mudiay and Murray for that matter playing well, we really don't have the need for a PG, whether it be Bledsoe or Jackson (UGGH !!). Both cost more and if we traded for either, they'd want to start over Murray which would hinder his development IMO. Realistically, we are no longer good trading partners or in need of a PG upgrade.

Secondly, seeing how much better PHX is playing without Bledsoe kinda raises red flags to me, would he affect the chemistry like he apparently has in PHX, plus he really hasn't made a big impact on the Suns since Dragic has left....

Last, you underestimate the value of Faried. While most of RealGMers see him as a bad contract (since when is $12M bad in this salary cap age ??) or a bad player, he is a high energy, impactful rebounder guy who's defense is improving. He is what he is, but Robert Horry was the same type of impact guy, just better off the bench than as a starter yet he had good value.

Call me a homer, but that's the way I see it. And thanks for notifying me of the Sig grammar, don't know why I never caught that.

Ah, as far as the sig grammar, you know im just having fun and not being malicious.

For the record, i think some people gave up on Mudiay way too quick, i think the same is happening with Okafor now...im not suggesting theyll play up to their lottery expectations, but i think theres a great chance theyll play better than their current market value.

You may be right, but my wishful trade scenario was based on a trade rumor that appeared to have some possible weight behind it based on how common it was (but who knows and everyday is a new set of circumstances). If that rumor, which i didnt creat, did have weight in terms of bledsoe for mudiay, faried and a draft pick. I agree bledsoe is a little better than reggie jackson, but if the bledsoe trade had any truth to it, the difference between bledsoe and reggie may be enough to make it a bad trade, but not a horrific inthinkable scenario. Again, that idea was admittingly wishful and based on if the bledsoe rumor had any merit what so ever with the Nuggets front office...that i have no idea.

Yah, most of the Suns guys are respectable, and I did appreciate that grammar check.

I do hope you guys get good value for Bledsoe, just not from the Nuggets  I've like the Suns since Alvin Adams days, my 2nd favorite team. Love it when you kick the Lakers arses !!!

Ok. I didn't think it would be THAT eventually. T.J.s head injury's are a major concern.

Hope our PGs play more consistently so we aren't forced into a move.

Going 2 from 20 is how a bad point guard could seem like an upgrade.

Yeah he has had a bunch of head injuries. I wondered if he had some sort of condition awhile back, but we did just give him a fair contract so I am sure its not career threatening. Hope he is good for both the short and the long term after NBA career.

I think there's ways to create extra roster spots if needed.

Jones ($1m / 1 year)
Daniels ($6m / 2 years)
Williams ($5m / 1 year guaranteed)

That's $12m of nothing really to open up 3 spots if better players become available.

We can upgrade James (although his recent games have been terrible) and Okafor would be a near free swing for a 2nd rounder.

And we're $3m under the salary floor so we can make buyouts and add a few players and still only be paying minimum cap.

Just wondering, if by mid-December we are still hovering around .500 (let's say 2-4 games below), if you guys would entertain the idea of trading Josh Jackson, Alex Len, Jared Dudley, the Miami 2018 1st round pick, and our 2018 1st round pick (top 14 protected, basically so if we miss the playoffs we keep our pick) for DeMarcus Cousins?

Boogie is putting up insane numbers with 29 points, 14 boards, 6 assists, 2 blocks, 2 steals on 49% FG, 80% FT, 2.4 threes a game. I doubt the Pelicans would do this unless they are playing below .500 and they feel Cousins may not stick around after this season. 3 of their next 5 opponents are against bottom tier teams (Bulls, Pacers, Hawks) but after that they got a pretty tough schedule facing teams such as the Nuggetsx3, Spurs, Warriorsx2, Thunder, Raptorsx2, Rockets Suns, Wolves, Sixers, Blazers, Clippers, Jazz. Basically playoff teams, and honestly the only easy games appear to be against the Kings on December 8th.

Would you guys be willing to gamble on trading JJ for the chance to keep Cousins around? Basically giving Booker some immediate help (along with Bledsoe coming back) and actually have the BBB brand of... BledBookBoog (and Warren)!

So we'd run some rotation of:
PG: Bledsoe / Ulis / James
SG: Booker / Daniels
SF: Warren / Bender / Jones Jr
PF: Chriss / Bender / Boogie
C: Boogie / Chandler

Keep in mind the following year we'll get back Knight, Williams, Reed.

Honestly, even with Bledsoe's injury history the combo of Booker and Boogie makes me think of a modern day Kobe-Shaq lite.

If we covet Brogdon so much, surely we'd like Spencer Dinwiddie too?

Similar player - good size, passes well, shoots well, and would be a very good rotation guard alongside Booker and Ulis as he's capable of playing both PG and SG.

Think he has more bounce than Brogdon too.

I think the Nets might be willing to do something like Bledsoe for Trevor Booker, Spencer Dinwiddie and the Toronto 2018 FRP (which is lottery protected).

Bledsoe + Russell might give them a chance to sneak into the playoffs.

Regardless I would still consider trading for Boogie (or AD).

They love Boogie down here. It would have to be a Godfather offer. In spite of his gaudy stats, Cousins remains a difficult player to win with for some reason. AD of course is not going anywhere until the final year of his deal (2 more years then a player option in '20-'21.)

Forgot you live down there. Is everyone pretty hopeful they are making the playoffs? Is everyone pretty confident about the direction of the franchise?
Just wondering because they have two franchise players and Jrue who is a high quality above average PG, but after that their roster is really weak and they have no room for growth with their cap space being eaten up.

Haha. Dont blame you! I wish we would have traded for mudiay, faried and your 1st round pick while we had the chance. Like i said, i think we could have flipped faried for okafor. A flier on two young guys with a 1st is not bad. But thats assuming that rumor ever had any truth behind it.

Thank you sir! Yeah, Alvin was pretty damn good! I can just remember the very end of his career to be honest. I was a kid and in L.A., but do remember him. Best of Luck to you and your Nuggets, it a nice young squad. Actually, i was a big fan of Fat, kind of wierd story, i knew Fat as a kid and later played ball with his oldest son fir a fee years.

Alright big man, best of luck to you and your Nuggets, have a good one!!!

Brogdon is taking the next step as a scorer. He's at 50/45/80 right now and hovering around 5 assists. He's obviously a keeper for the Bucks.

If their offer was Maker, Monroe, Telly and a 1st for Bledsoe/Chandler I'd do it unless Denver eases up their pick protection. If they try to switch in Henson then no deal.

Doubt it. Winning this season is not the priority. Winning in 3 seasons is, so I imagine upside is going to be the primary factor with any trade.

C'mon. A guy named "Spencer Dinwiddie" can't be a good player. That's a name for a guy with taped up glasses and a pocket protector. If wants to command repect in this league, he has to change his name.

No. Boogie is an upcoming free agent. That would be suicide. If we cannot get him in free agency, then will will not be able to keep him either.

And Bledsoe is gone.

No. They want Gentry fired pretty badly. They can't figure out how the Suns fired Watson and went 4-1 after it with no talent besides Booker. I've long thought that trading for Cousins was a mistake and that they should trade him in order to surround Davis with as many shooters as possible. Demps has been awful as a GM, Cousins trade not withstanding.
