Great thing is that Porter could fall to five or six depending on team needs. Chicago, Atlanta Brooklyn gotta be looking for fives. A combination of the Lakers pick and the Sixers pick are a long shot to get us Porter. But it could happen. Use some other assets. That's why its never bad to stockpile, and always bad to overspend.

Simmons, Fultz, Covington, Michael Porter, Embiid
TJ McConnell, Furkan Korkmaz, Timothe Luwawu-C, Dario Saric, Jonah Bolden

Free Agent targets: Paul George, Aaron Gordon, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Avery Bradley, Wilson Chandler, Danny Green, Hezonja.

I have seen a few highlights of Porter Jr. He always has the ball in his hands. I don't think he would be a good fit with Simmons. Porter runs the point and brings the ball up. I'll have to watch some Missouri games to see how he plays on the college level and see if he plays off ball a lot and how good his shot and defense is. If I had to take a player at 1 and not trade out of it at this time I may take a big man lol. It's tough to say at this time when I don't know how anyone looks. Bagley is supposed to be good. Can he play PF for us?

He's a perfect fit with Simmons, in my opinion. His offensive game is predicated off his shooting. Not sure why having skills is a bad thing. His ability to handle the ball makes him potentially better than Covington. His finishing makes him perhaps better than Dario. Porter's not a point guard, and I doubt seriously he even thinks of himself as such. Dario was also something of a point guard in his teenage years. Brandon Ingram has great ballhandling skills, better than Porter's, yet he isn't hampered by playing with Lonzo Ball, and he'd be a great fit with Simmons as well.

Dig the kid breaking his game down at 3:40-3:50 "high basketball iq, gets to open spots"....
Basically a longer Jayson Tatum. He was the one-on-one king last year.

I said what I said as an observation. It's not set in stone. That's why I said I'll see how he looks at Missouri. I don't put much credence on high school ball or what I hear or how people say so and so is so great. I'll let play dictate that and tell me that. I'll be very open minded when watching the players in college.

It's so weird how the Kentucky kids are flying way under the radar. Usually they're front and center in draft talk.

Injuries. Vanderbilt and Baker are out for a large chunk of the season.

Also our sophomores aren't anything special. Gabriel might be the best of that bunch.

I know the bigman group is saturated with talent, but I thought Richards would be getting more hype instead of merely being a fringe lotto projection, at the moment.

Also, I think Knox could legitimately rise to be a top 5 selection.

Yea, I'm all aboard the Knox hype train. He just needs to perform like this against non scrubs.

None of them are that special, plain and simple, their best prospect is probably PJ Washington in my eyes, Knox is so underwhelming in terms of skills and IQ, he is athletic and long, but meh, doubt he puts it together.

Vanderbilt is the definition of a non useful player, can't shoot, can pass some but he overdribbles, needs the ball and just isnt a good enough threat to have it, and on D he is solid, but that's about it.

Shai is a bit like that too, the rest are just athletes more than players, Diallo needs to shoot it and defend at a high level to be something, Richards is a freaking 21 yo freshman, raw as hell and basically only brings athleticism, and I like Wenyen but he is a back-up small ball Center at best, not that valuable.

In general their best prospects just aren't that good.

I can't believe the season starts a week from today, already.

That's funny, I've had the opposite reaction. Since the NBA season started early, it's been a lot of NBA games before college starts, which feels unnatural.

Lakers in the #5 spot. Don't think Ayton will stay on the board that long, but you never know.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Unless there is a substantial regression, I'd love to leave this draft with Bruce Brown. I have a feeling he's going to put up gaudy stats this year. He'd be an excellent two way player to put in with Fultz moving forward.

This should be our priority right there and we can get it done with our own pick.
Him or imo preferably Mikal Bridges.
Im keeping an eye on De'anthony Melton aswell.

That's who I want with the 76ers pick. I thought he should have come out last year. Dude is going to dominate this year.

Would be nice to have a successful playoff run and still be in position to take Bruce Brown in the bottom 1/3rd of the first round.

I'll be surprised if he lasts that long. He's set to have an Oladipo type year. Don't think he'll be top 3, but he's the man in Miami now.

I'd assume he'd be sharing the load with Lonnie Walker. And then both of them have to deal with Ja'Quan Newton hogging possessions, given his two year track record of 27% usage.

All on-top of having to play in a slow-paced, old school Larranaga offense.

I could see Brown rising up draft boards, but I could also see him continuing to fly under the radar.

BTW, I'm looking forward to seeing Malik Newman at Kansas this year.

For those who forget, he was the top G in the class of 2015 that committed to Miss St. and then wanted out of the program.

Speaking of Jerryd Bayless.... 6'5 wingspan. Total gunner.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
