If you want to be good you have to beat bad teams. Simple as that.

It's back to back and 3 of our starters logged heavy minutes tonight, won't be an easy game. Good thing is, Reggie and Dre didn't play a whole lot of minutes so they should be fine.

We have to start winning the games like these vs the bad teams, if we do we will be a top 5 team this season.

Detroit should absolutely thrash the Kings.

Stan better start solidifying the rotation soon as it will only help the team.

Kings are really bad this season getting constantly blown out. This has to be a win.

I wonder if the Kings would trade Koufos for Jon Leuer to open up PT for Willie Cauley Stein and Skal since they're going nowhere this season anyways. Probably not as Kosta has a PO next season, so could be an expiring versus Leuer guaranteed through two more full seasons yet (after this one).

Also why in the HELL did they sign 40 yr old Vince Carter to $8M one year deal? Do they have cap floor issues? He's playing 10mpg and averaging 2.4 points. Is he their "Tolliver" signing this past off-season, the veteran to overpay to bring in for one season as a mentor more than a player? He's gotta be a buy out candidate post trade deadline right?

Really impressed with Andre's FT shooting and mostly improved defense (still has some problems stepping out against shooting bigs and still is timid in the paint when he's in foul trouble) this season. These were always going to be two keys to taking this team from a .500 team to a team that could actually win a playoff series in the east. We certainly have some hope now.

Carter, Zach Randolph & George Hill have been labeled as the vets to teach their kids...

If we gave them our 2018 pick I could see them giving up Koufus for Jon since:

1 - They're unlikely to be spending money on top flight free agents any time soon

2 - Koufus aint part of the plan

3 - they get a extra first round pick

Zach and Vince also have experience playing for Joerger in Memphis as well.

Kosta isn't the level of player or upgrade I'd want to include a first rounder for. Especially when he has a PO and means he's gone. I guess we'd be selling our first rounder for $20M, but we'd miss out on potentially snagging a rotation player for five years on a rookie deal as well, so it would cost us more in the long run for such a trade.

Now if Willie Cauley Stein was available for a first rounder...

Guess it just goes to show how much I want Jon gone really.

Poor play, potential road block for Henry, Moreland, Tolliver & Bobo PLUS the cap situation (assuming we retain AB next off-season) are all major reasons to move Jon regardless of the fact we'd be losing a cheap prospect for possibly 5 years

The entire thing is just completely different. Starts by getting down low and comes up with that 7'6 wingspan full extended then releasing around head level with a much softer touch.

Used to shoot them like a jump shot with a high release but it was way to strong and hard to keep straight

That's exactly it. He used to do a full shot like a jumpshooter does, with a lot of arm motion. Now he keeps his elbow locked strait and in and flicks his wrist. Gives him better touch, and it's easier to repeat.

Edit: imagine your shooting on a 8 ft rim, or even one of those inside door basketball rims. You don't need much arm action, so you just flick your wrist.
