Ummm then read my reply bro

Specifically mentioned Dre talking about mental toughness and professionalism.

So you were talking about Bradley helping Andre's FT's...? In which case, I don't understand your reply saying... "Nice strawman! Did I say that?" instead of clarifying your point.

Anyways, I'll be tagging out of the circular argument at this point lol

How does talking about mental toughness + professionalism = FT shooting?

Some of you guys are so caught up in the miniature of things!

But, but, but you replied to a dude talking about FT shooting!

The person mentioned hypnosis as a reason for Dre's change - I find looking for a external quick fix to a internal problem hilarious

Uhh...think you're looking for a argument for the sake of it.

If you choose to do that then that's your choice - I don't have to indulge you

More like the other way around.

Tolliver and AB are helping the team a lot but like BDM said Reggie, Dre and Stanley were going to have good years regardless.

When did he say that?

If people believed Dre & RJ were gonna have good years regardless why was all the off-season talk about them negative?

And why did almost everyone jump off the SJ bandwagon?

Another strawman for the sake of it

Loved that game.

Sick defense in second quarter.

Loved Moreland's attitude.

For the first time in a LONG time we have a team that looks like a Pistons team.

Stanley was impressive last night. He turned the Greek superfreak into a jump shooter. That was the game right there!

The worst GM, for the worst team, having the worst day of his life wouldn't touch that contract with a 10 foot pole unfortunately.

Perfect timing to trade 3-4 players. Just imagine the return the Pistons could get when their players are playing well and winning games. It would be stupid not to trade them.

Since we're all hypothesizing about Dre's FT's - I think the Africa trip got Dre's mind right. He and his mom went there and travelled around before the basketball and the poverty really struck him, but also their happiness in spite of it. I think he put too much pressure on himself shooting FT's in the past and now realizes it REALLY doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Sure it matters in wins and losses, but hes getting paid $25M to play a game while in Africa he saw a young boy eating a stick as a meal.

Also he did a lot of running in the off-season for conditioning, but long solo runs are meditative in a way - maybe he found his zen.

He's built differently than most basketballers - he has a lower center of gravity with thicker legs and a big ol' butt. It allows him to get leverage under his guard and then has the lower body strength advantage to hold them there.

Yeah, Leuer is untradable for at least another year yet. He's dead money at worst, but he seems to not be a guy who would cause any issues. He'll sit on the bench out of the rotation and collect his $10M a season and be ready if Stan calls on him. I was a proponent of him as our primary back-up center/small ball center but he just doesn't have it in him to be a low post banger. He's a pure four, who needs to find the 3 point stroke he had in PHX. If we had a defensive four he could probably play the small ball five offensively.

The bench did really well too. I love Moreland's energy.

I feel like that has to be it. I’ve mentioned it as a possible option for Drummond before. I’d be interested if it happened, but I doubt he’d ever admit it.

I think it's mostly the new form. He's always had a tough time having the same form from shot to shot, so he'd end up trying to "aim" it instead of just relying on consistent mechanics. He starts making more and more, then his confidence goes up, and it gets easier and easier.

Hypnotism seems like something he would have done last year when he brought basically the same old shot into the season, started slightly better, but couldn't stay consistent.

Obviously part of it, but I feel like his free throw shooting failures are such a huge mental block that I'm skeptical it's just the form.

I say the hypnotism stuff because my sister used it to cure herself of stage fright and I've seen it work temporarily on people like you see at shows. I feel like it could be used to remove his nervousness at the line like it did for my sister and her dancing.
