Celtics at home will be type of game where players will be pumped to show up so we can hopefully win that one. Than Knicks who are mess Porzingis is in his God mode this year.
Than really ,really dangerous 4 games road trip. Suns are running like crazy, and after you are done with them, you have back to back against another blazing fast team in Denver. Than champions and Blazers.

They have to surive November somehow. Shedule does get easier a bit after that, but today until Decembe 1 they play elite teams ( Warriors and Celtics twice, OKC, T wolves )

It was an ugly game all around. I was baffled by Forcier's half-time interview where he praised the ball movement. Have to credit the Bulls though. Nwaba was an irritant all night and Dunn shut down Simmons. Those two disrupted our primary ball handlers all night long and our offense never got into a flow, despite the broadcast team stating otherwise in the first half.

Vucevic was hitting his threes and got some nice easy baskets around the hoop when he established good position, but neither happened frequently enough. Lopez is a solid defender.

Markkanen clearly got the better of Gordon in the game. It was a bit troubling that Gordon couldn't exploit Markkanen at the offensive end.

The only times I even noticed Ross was when he was getting blown by at the defensive end. He is a non-factor right now and needs to sort out his problems in the second unit.

Fournier got his numbers tonight, but he was awful. He was really forcing his offense in the first quarter at the expense of ball movement. The announcers kept praising him for being aggressive. He finished a few tough shots on ill-advised drives that gave him a flattering line for the night. He was a turn style at the defensive end.

It wasn't just that our perimeter defense was letting guys into the paint, but rather that they did so with such little resistance that it seldom gave the weak-side defenders enough time to provide help.

Simmons was really short on most of his shots tonight. We played like a team that had a road game the night before.

My thoughts on certain players on the Celtics:

Kyrie- Top 5 PG in the game for sure, perhaps top 3 with Westbrook and Wall, Kyrie is awesome!
Horford- Florida Gator
Brown- Stud
Tatum- Even if everyone on here is happy we selected Isaac, before the draft day people on here wanted us to select Tatum whether he dropped to our 6th pick or try to trade up for him. Ben Simmons could easily run away to win (Rookie of the year) but Tatum and Isaac probably be tight behind Simmons for runner up.
Smart- He's a pest, not really a shooter

Dont forget they are missing an all star in Hayward, they have a stud in Rozier off the bench, a top 5 coach and are owed some top picks on that Tatum-Fultz swap, Im so Jealous of their situation, they are not only insanely talented but also very likeable entretaining players that work hard, move the ball and play the right way.
This team will be on top of the east for the next decade.

Oh and no, Curry is still the best PG in basktball but yeah, Kyrie is incredible.

Great breakdown of the game especially the piece on Terrence Ross. He does not play defense well enough to justify having these continued offensive lulls. I saw him and Fournier constantly lost on switches and guarding their man in general. Frank won't make the move yet but his time in the starting lineup is going to come to an end if we start dropping games here in the next couple of weeks which is certainly a possibility. The team did look emotionally spent from that tough game against Memphis and the road trip in general. We also did not respect the Bulls which was my biggest fear heading into the game.

I thought I would be over this game but I'm not. One of the more frustrating games I have watched in some time. It completely ruined my Friday night...

Last year we consistently struggled to make shots but than every 8-10 games or so we would explode and have a night where we cant miss at all.
Hopefully this season its the opposite, if we can shoot well on a regular basis than I dont mind missing everything every 10 games or so.

This is also where Elf is key, him and Fournier are the only ones that can consistently drive and finish at the rim when shots arent falling, Elf is also good at finding Gordon and Vuc for easy buckets inside so we can go inside when shots arent falling, Im expecting a big year from EP and wouldnt be shocked if he also takes a big leap with his outside shot this year.

Not sure if it’s on Vogel or on the players for not moving the ball more, but the offense seemed so crappy and stagnant it was weird. Bigs setting half assed screens and ball handlers just settling for crap shots.

Hopefully this lights a fire for Sunday.

The whole team looked so low on energy in this one. Only 5 FT attempts all game is just atrocious, nobody was driving except Fournier early on but later even he stopped doing it. And the lack of communication on D was pretty terrible at times. It seemed like we expected the Bulls to beat themselves and approached the game thinking it was in the bag, but we aren't good enough to win when we play lazily and unfocused, especially with Payton and Augustin out.

Simmons and Fournier are good secondary ballhandlers, but they need a good PG to complement them, and Mack isn't that.

Hayward is out for the year, not worth talking about a player that's out for the year unless to briefly bring up he don't return til next year. Curry is basically a shooter/ scorer, I don't think about him as setting up his teammates. Curry still gets games where he gets like around 4 assists per game but he get maybe few games of like 8 or 9 assists or double digit assists. Westbrook, Wall, Kyrie set up their teammates more than Curry. Westbrook don't have to go all out and score every game like last year, He's got Carmelo and PG13 to set up.

During shootaround before the game, Gordon was the only one making any of his 3pt shots. At one point Fournier missed so many in a row that when he finally made one Mario ran over and jokingly tackled him like they’d just won the championship. Hopefully it was just one of those awful nights.
