Third year of his rookie deal. Don't know if Nets want to pay him or not. I have no idea what they're doing. They went out and spent $$ on Allen Crabbe and Demarre Caroll. RHJ still getting inconsistent minutes. Probably don't trust his three pointer just yet.

I believe in development and getting guys before they pop. Although I like Justise Winslow's all around game more, I think RHJ is a safer bet to develop a reliable three pointer.
I'd like to think a first round pick can get him. But I'm not sure. Interesting thing is, Justin Anderson was drafted two spots ahead of RHJ, and I liked RHJ better then and now.
Others may disagree.
With no five other than Mozgov, I'd be trying to push Okafor and Justin Anderson. If they insisted on Richaun and Justin Anderson, I'd grit my teeth and do it. Simmons, RHJ, Covington and Embiid would be so much defense, speed and athleticism, it'd be scary.
I always liked RHJ better than Winslow. Better handle better court vision. But I don't know that I believe his shooting will be any better than Winslow's long term. He may get there, but he had more to fix.
Yeah, I like him still, but Winslow has been a notch less than I thought he'd be and RHJ has been a notch better than I thought. I'd love to have either.
That said, I think if we look at Colangelo's track record, getting Aaron Gordon is not out of the question. He's the type of four Colangelo usually gets, shoots well and plays above the rim: Stoudamire, Bosh, maybe even throw Marion in that mix. Better rebounders than shotblockers. Shoulders instead of arms. That's Aaron Gordon.
Magic have to decide what to do with Gordon and Elfrid Payton. They didn't sign him to an extension, so giving him a max deal is not a no-brainer for them. They may do the same thing they did with Harris and Oladipo, match a free agent offer and then trade him later so they don't get nothing. If that's their thinking, they could make that move before this summer as well as after. Pretty sure they drafted Jonathan Isaac as an insurance policy, and he's doing fine.
If the Magic ball out, maybe they re-sign him. If they don't do it this year with all the pieces they have, then something's got to give. If Isaac is the real deal, I might be looking at TJ McConnell and Dario Saric, instead of paying Payton or Gordon.
