No Boogie
No Bledsoe
No bad attitudes.

I want a culture of hard work, defense, and ball movement. Anyone not down with that gets traded.

And we avoid anyone represented by Rich Paul.

I'm not trying to disagree. Exactly, YOU didn't watch the game and/or the previous games we're the Suns have actually squeaked out. No argument but when time permits, watch a few more to get a drift of our squad.. Good or bad, just wanted to lay it out on the line.

Media bull crap.

Cousins didn't want out of Sacramento. He wanted the maximum extension.

Media gonna make things up to make their article look more relevant.

Bledsoe wants out because the suns aren't serious about competing for playoffs and due to timeline.

And the fact that we refused to bump his contract up right now.

Trading for him without it would be reckless and while you can offer the extra year and a little more money I think hes going to take a bunch of meetings this summer and who knows where he ends up.

If they want to chase him this summer cool but I doubt the suns will be high on his wish list of destinations.

The problem is, Suns have no money this offseason. In fact, our salary goes from 86mil bumped up to 93mil because of TJ Warren's new contract. Even if we trade Bledsoe for a salary dump (Greg Monroe) we'd still be at 78mil for 2018-19 salary. Not sure we have enough to offer him a max, as opposed to trading for Boogie and retaining his bird rights where we can exceed the salary cap.

If Davon Reed were fit we'd have 8 out of 10 rotation players as McDonough draft picks (James, Chandler as exceptions).

Might be an obvious thing but I think that shows McDonough will back his drafting skills, he's passed on 5 All-Star trades in the past year, I think playing to his strengths is a good bet.

This Bledsoe situation matters. We need to move on from it.

What kind of a survey is it lol. Each player listed every 30 team?

Does the methodology really matter? It's one more piece of evidence that this organization is run poorly and has a bad reputation around the league.

The methodology, timing, etc make a HUGE impact on the responses, actually.

1) Was this question asked the day after we were blown out in our first game?
2) Was it asked before or after Bledsoe was sent home, and Watson fired?
3) Was it asked before we were 4-4?
4) Was it asked to a random sample of Vets vs young pups?
5) Was there an inordinate amount of SGs, SFs, and PFs? Or was there a fair amount of PGs and Cs? Goes back to Question 2.
6) Were the players given a list of 5? 10? teams most likely to be on this list? Or was it open-ended?

There are more factors, but here's how each could have influenced the answer:

1) Duh. Who would want to go to a team that just lost by 50 pts?
2) If it was right before, well, similar to #1, we were 0-3. If it was right after, even worse. The Suns are a complete, dysfunctional mess.
3) If it was asked after we were 4-4, I'm going to take a wild guess and say that the Suns may not be at the bottom anymore, and yes, some athletes are that shallow, and all about the now, now, now.
4) Vets have different priorities than young players.
5) If Bledsoe was still 'happy' on the team, then there are 3 positions locked up for certain, and PF having two top 10 picks already vying for playing time. I mean, if you were a 23YO SG, would you want to come to PHX with Booker here? 23YO SF with JJ/Warren? 25YO PG with Bledsoe? If I'm asked that question, I'm picking the team that has a young starter that portends ZERO chance of me starting, barring injury (Tonya Harding, anyone  ).
6) This is obvious, but if only provided a short list, well, They's only be able to pick from that list.

Also, I'd love to know what the answer would be if they were told Sarver would no longer be the owner.

Honestly, it's more a referendum on Sarver than anything. The Suns, just a half dozen years ago would've been on the bottom half of that list.

Yeah. Youre over thinking this. It's about Sarver and his reputation, this management teams track record with players, the facilities, and the seven years without a playoff run.

Going 2 from 20 is how a bad point guard could seem like an upgrade.

Doubt it. Winning this season is not the priority. Winning in 3 seasons is, so I imagine upside is going to be the primary factor with any trade.

Naw man, you're off by about 2-3 years. If it's not still the Warrior's #Timeline, it'll be the Sixers' or T-Wolves' #Timeline; we're still in Tank mode for awhile.

For 50% of RealGM Suns' Forum members, 'Winning' hasn't been a priority for 6 years; collecting top 5 Draft Picks is the Priority. Our goal is to have 10 Lottery picked players from 2013-on, on this roster, by 2020. This way, we can demote Booker to '6th-Man', further demoted TJ to '7th-Man', status when we pick a Top 5 SG in 2019. Since Booker was drafted 13th.

Heat 2018 1st Pick / 2020 1st
2019 1st / Booker (No longer Shiny...)
JJ / Warren (Down right Tarnished...)
Bender / Chriss (Starting to Cloud here and there...)
Suns 2018 1st / Len (Completely Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnn Roof. "Rusted"!...)

See! Now THAT'S the goal... C'mon man, get it right!

And let me just say (while I can), that I called the fact that the Heat would be picking higher than us, and all those trade ideas in the Summer, I suggested keeping the Heat Pick, and trading ours, since the Heat pick would be more valuable. (Of course, they're currently 6th, which leaves us with bupkis, but my point stands!)

I might be, to some degree, but completely disregarding these facts is 'over-simplifying' it. There's more to it than that. Ask a room full of young, starter-hopeful Centers or Point Guards this question, given 10 teams--

Pelicans
Pistons
Jazz
Sixers
Heat
T-Wolves
Nuggets
Knicks
Magic
Bulls

... Booker, books/Warren, wars...lol...JJ continues to progress, as does Bender/Chriss, and let's say we are close to .500 in a month.

You think the answer will still be the Suns? Because these guys will also want starting opportunities, have friendships with Book, or Ulis, or JJ...some may like the climate, not like the climate, have family, who knows. There's tons of reasons, and scenarios, and yes, survey techniques that can be used, or that are used, that knowingly, or unknowingly skew data.

He can 'plan' all he wants to, but wasn't he SENT home, by McD, not he LEFT the Suns on his own accord?

I wonder if he'll be welcomed back? Interesting. We start winning without him, and I think he maybe now sees he's not as 'indispensable' as he thought he was.
